  1. You can swap cars at the show, as long as it is done before the day of judging. That would be Friday for non-Driver's class, and Saturday for the Driver's class. We will have the ability to print new judging sheets and windshield cards at the registration desk. So go ahead and register what you think you'll bring and you can change them later. The most important thing at this point is the number of cars, so the parking lot can be designed ahead of time.

  2. A lot would depend on what condition the engine and transmission are in. Can you elaborate on the history, mileage, last time it was running, is it complete with all pulleys, brackets, etc.? Does the engine turn over? It would be impossible to determine a value without knowing these.

  3. I am interested in attending the Wildcat Nationals as a spectator and, possibly, doing an article for the Buick Club of America's Buick Bugle magazine. But I am limited on time. What day or days would you think best for seeing all the Wildcats gathered in one spot for easy photographs and owner interviews? How many Wildcats do you expect to attend?

I wish I had kept the 1966 Wildcat GS I once had!

  4. Here is a picture of all the Forum members and their Buicks in attendance. From left to right:

  5. For me, it would be the wagon for sure. I have a 1991 Roadmaster Estate Wagon as my everyday vehicle and love it. The wagon is so unusual it attracts attention where ever it goes. The 1995 has the LT1 engine for surprising power. Anytime you need extra room, you will have it. For such a big car, it drives and handles like a much smaller car. The comfort and room of the interior is beyond anything else in a smaller car. And they are still very affordable. I have 150,000 miles on mine. Although the 1991 engine is different than 1995, the rest of the car has held up just as well. As far as parts, they are still available everywhere. I know I am biased, but get the wagon. The Buick Heritage Alliance has been trying to sell a 1995 Roadmaster Estate Wagon for $3,000. That's a bargain, and the money will go toward financing their cause.

  6. Grand Prairie? I'm right down the highway from you, in Denton. There are a lot of Buick people around here. Although I can't answer your question, I would like to invite you to join the local North Texas Chapter of the Buick Club of America. If you're interested in some Buick fun, please send me an email with your contact information and we'll get in touch. My email address is below. We do something every month.

I'm positive you will get an expert to answer to your question soon.

  7. Great looking Buick, Derek. It looks soft and comfortable inside. And I love the taillights. The back end is really stylish. I don't recall ever seeing a thermometer in the outside mirror. Is that an option? Is the engine a 455? Just 5 minutes at a car wash will make that engine compartment happy again. I bet your wife and kids are excited, too. Hey, you know you can tow your other Buicks with that, too. Wouldn't that be cool.

  8. I went to the local Buick dealer when I replaced mine, about a year ago. They had everything I needed. If you are interested in returning it back to original condition, I can email you the dealer that did mine and see if they still have the parts you need.

  9. Outstanding! It's nice to know who owns it now. Did you get any other "goodies" with it, like historical photos, press releases, etc.? I wrote an article on it for the Buick Bugle recently, documenting the reunion of the thermos and cups, and interviewing the son of the original owner, so I feel somewhat attached to it now. I would love to see it at a BCA Nationals.
