  1. John, The orig. Jaxon rims did not have attatched clamps, both the clincher and the straight side rims used the same clamp/wedge. As for the drive, there are at least 3 types drives used by all the diferent mfgs. Sleeve drive(uses the same hole as the valve stem),dowel drive (a large round pin that fits in a hole in the wheel felloe),and saddle drive(a u shaped part of the rim latch). I do not have a pic. of the #11a rim to see what the drive was. You could make them sleeve drive, make a sleeve to fit through the valve stem hole, you will have to bore out the hole in the wheel felloe, Firestone used sleeve on a lot of the rims they made. 2. Jaxon # 11A SS is a straight side, direct replacement, for your Jax#11 rims and uses the same wedges. Jax#11 was used on Chevrolet490,Dort,Maxwell,and Overland. The problem with using a different rim is the drive pin etc. that is used to lock the rim to the wheel(with out it the rim will spin and break the valve stem). Good luck finding a set of rims. 4. It's about time, great!!!The nickle era with 2 wheel brakes needs this, they are almost forgotten, we don't fit in with the brass era groups or the later cars with 4 wheel brakes. I have a 1922 Buick Sport Touring 22-6-55 in the final stages or restoration,(at least it's in one piece)and look forward to this new forum.
  5. The wheel catalog I have shows a Jaxon disc and a side ring, prev. years use a Tuarc wheel, my 22-55 has Tuarc wheels. Disc on a 29 could be rare. Chech the 29buick web site. John B 1922-6-55 Sport Touring
  6. Buick 6's 23 and under do not have a seperate cyl. head, no gasket, your problem is most prob. the radiator as D BINGER said. I am restoring a 22 Sport Touring, any thing I can do to help email, john@galapanet.com 1922-6-55
  7. I bought a Buick body from him in the early 70's and he was very pleasant and gave a tour of his many barns full of cars. It was winter and he was melting snow for water, pipes frozen, a single 25 watt bulb in each room for light. But he seemed happy and comfortable. The autogyro was hanging in the barn next to the house, and a lot of DV32 parts were in the little school house. I hope there are more savers out there like him. JB 1922 Buick Sport Touring
  8. The speedo you have is for 1922-23 Buick Sport Touring and Sport Roadster models 54 and 55. If it is for sale I need one. I am restoring a 1922-55 email john@galapanet.com loc. MA
  9. The Buick in the pic is not a 1916. It is a 1912 or 1913. A 1912 roadster just sold on ebay for 13900, it was in fair cond. older rest. Is this car a brass car with gas head lights, and ker. side and tail? 1915,1916 would have electric lights. Also the term B37 indicates a 1914 Touring. JB
