8. I have 2 26" wood felloe wheels, stamped on the felloe band is Weston-Mott, pat. date
1902.The felloe band is not flanged but flat
and has the 5 holes that Baker rims used, but I have no idea what holds the rim centered on the wheel.Buick and Oakland used Baker rims early, but I don't know what car used these wheels. Does anybody have any ideas?????
jbbuick22
------------------
13. Coley,most wood wheels to about 1917 or 1919
all used a wood felloe with a flanged steel
band, HVS is right. 1919 Buick used wood felloe wheels and Jaxon #19 rims. These wheel
are made by Weston-Mott and have Detroit wedges still on them, Chevy used Detroit rims. jbbuick22

    1917 Buick

The engine # looks right for a 1917, engine
# start at 253259 for 1917 and start at
320782 for 1918. You need a frame # and model
to go further. The body # needs a frame and
model to mean anything.(#'s reference BCA
membership roster 1991).
jbbuick22
  15. The rear fender I see in the pic looks like
early 20's Cadilac, the hood is not Buick,
also the front fenders look a little like
21-22 Buick they are not, the crown is not right or the beaded edge. So I think all these parts are early 20' Cadilac. I have a
left rear fender that matches yours and it was id as Cadilac.
email--johnbeatty@mediaone.com
jbbuick
16.
quote:
Originally posted by KenMcMillan:
A friend of mine found a full set of fenders, a hood, one door, and five side curtains in the attic of his uncle's house. The parts are in excellent condition, except for the sidecurtains which have good frames but are
missing most of their plastic.
These pieces would make some restorer very happy and my friend would like to sell them. The problem is, we can't identify them. We can't find any stampings or numbers on them. One of the more knowledgable carguys in our area thinks they may be from a 1918 Buick, but he isn't sure.
I have three jpeg files with four pictures in each that show the parts that I can send to anyone interested. Send me an email at 69buick@duluth.com and I'll forward the pics your way. Thanks!!!
Ken McMillan
Duluth, MN

Ken, I am restoring a 22-6-55 Sport Touring,
send me the pics and if they are 21-23 I prob
can id them.
jbbuick22
17. I feel the same about the club,if there are a lot of prewar Buicks, where are they, why not a separate section in the DF for them. There is a web site for prewar Buicks, and something like it should be part of the club also. I guess this means I have to renew my membership now. I have a 1922-6-55 Sport Touring and have had many teens and twenty's Buicks; 11-#14,16-#46,22-#47,24-#45,25-#40,29-#47,30-#47,32-#57,and 41-#61,and I see very little about the early Buicks in any club publication. Why?????? Look at the AACA DF and you will find more about eary buicks there than this one. jbbuick22
