1. I've never heard those sounds either. I've found when I take the time to smooth the folds down between the top's frame, the tonneau cover closes easily, but firmly. To eliminate the rattling of your worn top, suggest you put a folded blanket (or other spacer material) in the trunk so the top will lay down upon it -- a shim.
2. Here's two URL's for the 'gas out' hoax http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/petition/gasout.htm http://www.f-secure.com/hoaxes/gasout.shtml
3. That "no gas day" has been floating around for several years. It doesn't work and is a hoax, for details go to an anti-virus/hoax website.
4. Beev, you have to make allowances for some people... lol People react differently sometimes than what you would have wanted them to...
5. In Montgomery Alabama, sticker price was $36.6K with $3K rebate.

7. The way I see it is this forum is for discussing Reattas, first, second, and last. Discussing whether you should or shouldn't register, or whether to use real name/anonymous name, etc is all moot to the discussion of Reattas. It then becomes readily apparent to the rest of the readers whether your purpose on the forum is about discussing Reattas or something else. Since this is America, however, feel free... **laffing**
8. Bob, Appreciate the reply, thanks. The second rca can be tracked but since no crime was committed, what purpose would be served? I've noticed that there are quite a few young people on the forum, most seem responsible and contribute info and ideas. There seems to always be a few to mess things up for the others. Perchance the 2nd rca got a perverse thrill?? What a fetish. LOL!!
9. There's nothing to keep someone with larceny on their minds to register using a fictious name and posting something that was apparently too good to be true, and getting a check sent to them. The rca sender's address can be tracked. RCA's email address was logged in on this forum's server when he posted the fictious message. Or at least the ISP being used was logged on, and from that, rca. Posters to the forum should realize they are not truly anonymous just because they don't register.
10. I have multiple photo albums at Ofoto.com. It works by invitation only. Granted the address link provided permits the viewer to see your photo, but it also gives them editing capability over the album/account. The viewer in essense becomes the originator of the album. As a rule Ofoto does not permit HTML linking to a photo. I have several photos of my Reatta on Ofoto, but it is accessible only by email invitation.

1990 Reatta

Did you send Barney the VIN? Enjoy your car when the weather's just right!!
14. In my experiences, everytime one of the horn buttons broke off was because as I was turning the steering wheel, the sharp end of the button was catching on my sleeve, my watch, or my hand was brushing on the sharp end of the button. It does stick out just a little. I lost three horn buttons, each time the left one. It finally dawned on me (yeh I'm a slow learner, but I do learn --lol!) that I needed to modify the way I turned the steering wheel with my left hand. Since then, back in the mid-90's, I haven't broke one button. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Hope to hell I don't go out and find a broken button because the plastic prong gave way. *grinning*
15. Friday night, (Oct 18th) while at the T in Gulf Shores in Alabama, just a little after dark, I spotted a white/white Reatta convertible making a turn going West away from me. By the time the light changed and I could follow, the car had disappeared. Anyone have knowledge of this great looking car? Hoping the owner checks the board..
16. The Buick dealer in Montgomery Ala has some very knowledgeable Reatta service people and mechanics. So far, I've always had outstanding service from them. [color:\\"blue\\"] Sorry you got ripped Robert. [color:\\"blue\\"]
17. Meadorg, AFTER you get your lights working, make it a point to open/close your headlights ONLY when doing less than 30mph.
18. With practice, I can put the top up or down in less than a minute. With passenger assistance, less than that. But usually, I take extra time to tuck and fold the top a certain way before shutting the toneau cover down.
19. Barney, are out-of-service vehicles being notated in the data base?
20. Jerry, the only reason I need to talk to her is to tell her to get me another beer. LOL!!
21. Neither link worked for me either, took me to same computer site with LANS and other networking links. Could be the site was collecting email addresses to resell to a third party?
22. Great looking car you got there!
23. My '90 convertible was listed for US$36.6K, pretty much the same as a "Vette. For the attention to detail during the assembly of the Reatta, I think the Reatta was underpriced.
24. Checkers,
Not sure what you're describing. The only problem I've encountered is the visor retaining clips breaking and no replacement parts in stock.

For Sale

Not a bad price considering the mileage. I wouldn't let mine go for less than $10K. Good luck!
