  1. Just a reminder that annual Hershey Swap Meet starts on Tuesday October 4, with the Car Show on Friday October 7, this year. Usually not many vendors are still there on Car Show Day.

Warning -These days of the week are different from past years.

Although Studebaker vendors are located all over the large Hershey Swap Meet, there is a row of Antique Studebaker Vendor spaces from CCN 18-31.

This is where the Antique Studebaker Club Tent is, and this year the Studebaker National Museum will be co-located in that tent.

Stop by for parts, merchandise and meet other Antique Studebaker aficionados.

  2. My spaces are CCN 18, 19, 20. Which is the start of the Antique Studebaker Row. The Studebaker National Museum will be located in the Antique Studebaker Club Tent this year.

Tom, being a first time Hershey goer I noticed you said you turned toward the Studebaker guys. I assume that some of them are close to each other. May I ask where that might be?
All I’ve ever heard of Hershey is huge and being a bit messed up in the leg department it may help to know where I’m  going.
    Thanks,

  3. I was able to double check my stock, and I am very sorry that I DO NOT have the right ones.

I do have kits for the later Planar Suspension models, but they are different part numbers.

Hope this information helps, the aftermarket crossover number that you need is K111. I think both Thompson and Toledo used that same number.

  4. I looked, and sorry I don't have any. George V did one not too long ago. I will ask him where he got his.

Studebaker also made a different kit that has new kingpins, and parts, that change the oil feed to grease. It's listed in one of the Service Bulletins. It must have come out as an upgrade for 1935's, in 1936 when their design changed. to go to the new design. It gets rid of the very nice-looking pancake oilers. If you want, I will look up the Service Bulletin, and get you the Studebaker number.

I think the original design was not great and created a lot of wear, as the felt wicks deteriorated and stopped the oil from reaching the pins and bushings, on the planar suspension cars.

Of course, when I did mine, I kept the original style!

  5. My list says that 1914 Studebaker SC 4 tire size is: 32x3 1/2.

1915 Studebaker SD 4 tire size is: 33x4

The Six's for those years shows as 33x4 also.

You said in another message that yours are 33x4.

Perhaps your car is a 1915 Studebaker SD 4?

I do have an information manual for SD 4, but I am not sure that it shows pics that would allow you to tell the difference.
