I think the very popular , late 1950's / early 1960's TV show The Untouchables really fixed the  " Gangster Car " image in the eye of the general public.

That TV show is what made me fall in love with old cars, as a kid.

It made me want a 30's car with running boards that gangsters could ride on and shoot Tommy Guns.

Got the car and shot a lot of Thompsons. The Thompson's only had a banana clip though.

I'll take any good condition ones you have for a 24 special six.

Please measure the opening in the back, and height, as I have 3 possible matches. The 20's caps seem to all have similar dimensions - but not exact. I will then send pics showing what I have.

Can you take a pic like these?

  3. Just a reminder that annual Hershey Swap Meet starts on Tuesday October 4, with the Car Show on Friday October 7, this year. Usually not many vendors are still there on Car Show Day.

Warning -These days of the week are different from past years.

Although Studebaker vendors are located all over the large Hershey Swap Meet, there is a row of Antique Studebaker Vendor spaces from CCN 18-31.

This is where the Antique Studebaker Club Tent is, and this year the Studebaker National Museum will be co-located in that tent.

Stop by for parts, merchandise and meet other Antique Studebaker aficionados.

  4. My spaces are CCN 18, 19, 20. Which is the start of the Antique Studebaker Row. The Studebaker National Museum will be located in the Antique Studebaker Club Tent this year.

Tom, being a first time Hershey goer I noticed you said you turned toward the Studebaker guys. I assume that some of them are close to each other. May I ask where that might be?
All I’ve ever heard of Hershey is huge and being a bit messed up in the leg department it may help to know where I’m  going.
    Thanks,
