1935 Accessory Screen.

Two types of housings. One type of light housing is a metal casting, and one is a metal stamping. I have never been able to figure out the significance.
1934 and 1935 are the same. You could order the standard looking one, or there was also a different accessory light that you could get from Studebaker, if yours only came stock with one (I think that was only on the Dictator). This accessory light is different looking than the standard looking one. Different shape, and has a bubble lens, pretty unattractive. I have only seen it on one actual car. I'll see if I can find the Accessory Sheet, and post later this week.
I have been acquiring 1934- 1935 parts since 1997. I may be able to help with some of your needs.

I will also have a freshly restored, nice red, 1963 Studebaker Avanti, R1, in the Car Corral.

Julio,
Sorry I don't have the parts you need. But I will be glad to meet you!

Tom,
Car looks great!
I had used the Freewheeling on my 35, and I think the 35 is the best year to use it, because we have juice brakes. Mechanical brake cars, not so good, as you lose the engine compression, to help you to stop.
Will you be at Hershey?

I am starting to load up. If there is anything Prewar Studebaker that you wish me to bring, now is the time to ask.
As of now, I plan to bring Memorabilia, Parts, Cans, Signs, Literature, a 1929 right hand drive Erskine, and maybe a real nice R1 with air, 1963 Avanti.
Also have available a 1957 rebuilt Golden Hawk engine with 0 miles. But will only bring it if presold.
I should be in spaces CCN 18-20.Tags: None- 2

I think it is located near the bottom edge of the dash, below and between the clock and the amp gauge.
Do you have the magnetic reflectors?

IF you are talking about the funny looking, long toggle switch:
The switch changes the position of the head light beams, not their intensity.

Rex,
Thanks for your input.
They did get it out. I will pass along how.

Paul the guy, who needs to take the old valve out, has ordered a new one. I will get a better idea when I see it. I like your idea. Thanks.

Tom,
You have me wondering if a 25mm long nickel-titanium root canal file would work. I unfortunately I didn't save any, as I did not anticipate doing any endodontics in retirement.
I am however using my dental lab motor (slow speed hand piece) today, with a Heatless Mizzy, and 1 1/2" separating disk, to modify the chrome window trim from a Monte Carlo, to fit my Avanti Convertible! Under 2 1/2 times magnification.

Hi, thanks for the input. I will pass that along to the guy I am trying to help out.

And how do you accomplish removal?
My understanding has always been that you place the small drill bit into the small relief valve hole so that it just catches. Then remove both the drill bit and the valve body. Of course, done by hand, not with a drill.
Perhaps you can share a better way.

Does anyone know the drill bit size, to remove the OIL pressure relief valve on the 6 cylinder, 1936 - 1950 car, and trucks up to 1960. Commonly called Big Six, or Commander 6. The one that is 218, 226, 245 cu in?
I can't seem to find the reference.
Thanks!

Thanks,
It allowed me to check one of the caps that I have, that I thought might be right. It isn't the cap that he is looking for.

I have driven my 1922 Light Six, with just front ones, and without any.
I did not notice any difference in the ride.
But I hope to put them back on, as I like the way they look.
When they were on, I did once have 5 people in the car, and one that was a rider in the back seat, remarked that it was the best riding car from that era that he had ridden in. Because of the Snubber's?
