  1. Although I always think of the Model 70 being 1931, however, The Studebaker Master Catalog Chassis Parts Catalog, has it listed for 1930 - 1931!

Body tag 70W2 1715, is for a 4 Door Regal Cruising Sedan. The 1715th body built.

I also have a 1931 Commander Model 70, 4 Door, Regal Cruising Sedan. Mine has deteriorated into a parts car.

  2. Tie rod ends for models FC, FD, 61.

Studebaker part numbers, for complete tie rod end.

    Right 165724

    Left 165725

The number that are listed in my Toledo catalog:

    ES5

Although catalog doesn't list, I would imagine would actually be ES5R and ES5L.

I think most of the aftermarket manufacturers like TRW etc., used the same numbering systems.

I do not have any, the earliest that I have are ES25, which are for 1934 up.

You'll have to call places that deal in older chassis parts to try to find them. Or Gary's solution seems workable.

    Good luck

  3. Two types of housings. One type of light housing is a metal casting, and one is a metal stamping. I have never been able to figure out the significance.

1934 and 1935 are the same. You could order the standard looking one, or there was also a different accessory light that you could get from Studebaker, if yours only came stock with one (I think that was only on the Dictator). This accessory light is different looking than the standard looking one. Different shape, and has a bubble lens, pretty unattractive. I have only seen it on one actual car. I'll see if I can find the Accessory Sheet, and post later this week.

I have been acquiring 1934- 1935 parts since 1997. I may be able to help with some of your needs.
