1. Dayton,
Thanks for the update!!!! I'll be there.
It really is great the way you have been keeping us informed.
 2. I don't have any new ideas but I do suggest to NOT use stop-leak!! Stop-leak can stop up places that aren't supposed to be stopped up.
We used stop-leak on a small 4 cyl. diesel generator at work one time as a temporary measure until we could replace the radiator. Then we had to replace the head gasket because it was plugged up with stop-leak.
 3. Paul,
I used Broadway title from Alabama with good success. I took their title (which is really just a registration) into Pendot and it worked without any problems. Also, AACA members receive a 10% discount from Broadway Title.
Good luck
 4. Larry C.
Thanx for signing my guest book. It is really great to see these hartops being restored. I know of about 5 others that are being restored too.
Good luck
 5. Larry C.
Mine is a 4 door hartop but I think the locations are the same for all models.
These measurements are from the front of the antenna base measuring straight across from the front edge of the trunk, they are 2 inches back and 1 1/4 inch out from the trunk edge.
I hope this helps and good luck
 6. I received my info packet and registration forms in the mail today. So everybody should be receiving theirs very soon.
Thanks for the info Big D. It looks like it's going to be a great show. We are really looking forward to it!!!
 7. Hello Big D,
Will the car trailer parking be near the show field?
 8. Rick,
That would be Class 5E and 27D which averages out to???????? LOL

 9. Howard,
I think you might be asking too much. We were going to use Rick as the designated decoy!
 10. Hey Guys,
This convoy idea sounds great!!!!

 11. Hello Mr. Pete,
I was thinking that since my Impala is SO big and the scooter is SO small, Your TR-6 will fit right in the middle (after you correct that hood problem).
The only other thing is if we want to stay with a Patriotic Theme, The TR-6 will have to be painted blue since the Impala is white and the scooter is red.
12. Mike,
Thank you very much!!!! We appreciate it.
 13. Golly Gee,
I got mine today!!!!! You could be next.
Good Luck
 14. I just hung up the phone from calling headquarters and they told me that they are in the mail NOW. I haven't received mine yet, but as soon as I do, I'll post it here. It seems like i got mine 1st last time so this might be a gauge as to how soon you all will receive yours.
 15. I stopped in at HQ this morning and they told me they should hit the printer on Friday (hopefully) and will probably be mailed right after the 1st of the year.
 16. hvs,
I also have been following this thread for several days and I admit I am somewhat confused by all the different tours, but I want to THANK YOU for sticking up for the general membership in the way that you are. Your efforts are not in vain.
THANX!!!!!
 17. I haven't gotten it here yet and I was first to get mine last time. So, we'll wait and see.

 18. Novaman,
I actually worked for Michigan Bell at that time, but the assembly plant I worked in was on S. Fort St. North of River Rouge. I also worked in the Rouge Coke plant and Great Lakes Steel. That would have been from 1973 to 1977.
 19. Didn't it also have a little to do with shutting down the shops and lines for retooling in the summer to allow for vacations? I remember when we lived in Detroit in the early 70's that it was a big deal that the assembly line workers got 2 weeks off for switch-over and retooling. But, I agree it was mostly marketing.
I did all the telephone work in the one fisher body plant and it was great that we could get in there the last week of August and 1st week of Sept. and get a lot of work done without the line running.
I could be wrong too.
[ 11-24-2001: Message edited by: randjflo60 ]
 20. I need to upgrade my insurances on my vehicles now that they are Seniors, so of course I need to have them appraised.
1. What appraisal Company do you recommend?
2. Do they do it over the phone, on line, or must they do it in person?
3. Do they go by selling price or replacement value? The parts individually could be more than the worth of the vehicle plus labor. For instance I know the "book" value of my Impala is around $8,000 but I imagine a major accident could run $18,000 or so to repair.
Thanx
 21. Pennsylvania forces you to use a company like Broadway title in Alabama.
 22. Recently our daughter informed us that we will have a grandson around the end of February. I mentioned this to a friend of mine and we were jokingly wondering if AACA had "infant memberships" and "pre-natal membership applications".? Well, after reading the fecalations of Mr. Redt, I see these concerns must have already been addressed many years ago.

 23. 66 MC,
This is where a little creative engineering is required. It can be mounted any way and any where as long as it is in plain sight and visible from the front of the car. I'm sure you don't want to drill any holes in your grill so making some kind of bracket that will cinch it in securly is your best bet. I used a couple of pieces of fiberglass board (behind the grill) and 2 long brass screws and put it on my grill sort of like a toggle bolt arrangement.
 24. I heard somewhere that the Hershey region is chartered for 500 members. That is why they have a 5 - 7 year waiting list to join.
I could be wrong, but I remember the first time I thought I was wrong, it turnd out that I wasn't wrong so I was wrong again.
