  1. Furthermore, Why in the world did Herco need to build a new road right through the middle of the white field to go to the same place that 2 existing roads already went to??? Herco which is owned by Milton Hershey Schools has an overwhelming propensity for spending/wasting money. (Except on their employees)
  2. From what I have read in the local newspapers, this isn't just a matter of a few trees. What Herco wants to do is level 140 acres and black top the whole thing. They won't disclose their ultimate purpose. I give the Derry Township Board of Supervisors 2 thumbs up and a hip hip horray for finally taking a stand and not allowing Herco to blacktop whatever and where ever they want. Herco has gotten away with murder (literally) in the past and it is time to stop. There needs to be a certain amount of green area maintained to minimize storm water run off. Partially because of their existing run-off, when we had the heavy rains a few months ago, the area down stream was completely flooded. I realize there were a lot of other areas flooded as well but Herco isn't the only culprit in eliminating green area. Perhaps it is time for Hershey Region to find a new location for the Fall Meet.

  4. You will find after reading certain posts on this forum that AACA judges are very easily confused. But, they know exactly how many judging credits they have.
  5. Joe, My trailer isn't white, but I know what you are asking. The acid rain washes off of the roof and leaves black streaks. I Found by misatake that GoJo hand cleaner works really good on removeng the streaks and polishing the aluminum trim. Wipe the GoJo on and rinse immedialely before it drys, then go over it with regular car wash soap. I only need to do it about once a year and it stays pretty good.
  6. A New Region is Born On Saturday Jan. 15th we had our charter meeting to create a new region of the VCCA. The name of "Keystone Region" was selected by a unanimous vote of the 16 charter members in attendance. Also, region officers were elected. They are: Ron Flory as Director, Dave Grove as Assistant Director, and Chris Flory as Secretary/ Treasurer. If anybody is interested in joining us, contact me at KeystoneRgnVCCA@aol.com
  7. Steve, Any chance of coming into headquarters and sneaking a peek? We only live 4 miles away. We are keeping our fingers crossed too.
  8. Hello Steven, I just finished a 1960 Impala and the undercarriage was red oxide primer. I finished it off with red epoxy primer and clear coat to protect it.
  9. We will be there with Judy's 60 Impala. She is going for her senior. I will also have my 64 Allstate there.
  10. Do we have any votes for our pork barbeque again???
  11. Thanks for the offer, but the sump pump is keeping up with it okay now. The water table is just a little bit above the basement floor now. Saturday morning the water table was about 3 feet above the floor(acording to the water level in the basement sink) Saturday morning I had 2 pumps running and I was still loosing ground. The water stopped rising just below my furnace motor. I also had my generator running just incase good old GPU lost electrical power again. It's a wonderful feeling to know you can't rely on electricity. That is why I have 2 generators. It is amazing how much power water has for pushing up a concrete slab. I also wanted to take it easy because I know how the walls can cave in too. Thanks again
  12. The concrete in my basement floor has cracked and pushed up a few inches. The walls seem to be ok. And I heve 2 feet of water in my pit in the garage. My sump pump in the basement is still pumping out about 1000 gallons per hour. Now we'll see how the insurance company is going to handle the basement floor heaving.
