2. Buick is teasing us yet again!!! Pics are from AutoWeek and Motor Trend. The text is from Motor Trend's web site review of the SEMA show in Vegas, and text from AutoWeek. Maybe we should send Buick some letters!!!

Motor Trend
"Buick's Regal GNX celebrates the heritage of its high-performance Regal GNX name with black and silver ground effects all around, Baer racing brakes, custom 18-inch HRE wheels, and 255/45ZR Michelin tires. A functional hood scoop cools the supercharged 3800 V-6 engine that makes 300 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque."

Auto Week
"Buick's high-performance show car celebrates the heritage of the "GNX" name, paying homage to the quickest production car of its day - the limited-build 1987 Regal GNX, which was powered by a 300-hp intercooled and turbocharged V6.
Similarly, the new GNX show car features a high-output supercharged V6, with engine output increased by 20 percent over the production Regal GS. The engine delivers 300 hp at 5200 rpm and 300 lb-ft torque at 3600 rpm. Increased power is derived through a custom intercooler, specially built cold airbox induction system and custom headers that direct exhaust through a custom Borla exhaust system.
The GNX show car has been lowered one and a half inches from the production Regal GS, and sits on custom-made, polished aluminum-spoked 18-inch wheels and low-profile Michelin performance tires. Besides the usual ground effects, the GNX also picks up one more Buick design cue in the form of six functional portholes - three per side - to keep the engine compartment cool."

[This message has been edited by jonnyopa (edited 11-04-2000).]
 3. I need the spring for the transmission lever control return for a 1960 Buick. Looking at a parts identification book (Canadian book), it appears that the part is identical for years 1958-1960 with the Dynaflow transmission.
According to the parts ID booklet, it is in group 4.036 and the part number is 1174495. I don't know if there is any difference between the Canadian and US part numbers.
I have already looked at Buick Farm, Cars Inc (Buick-Parts), and ClassicBuicks.
Does anyone have a good lead for me??
Thanks.
 4. Unfortunately, you just missed out on one that was auctioned on eBay. Below is the link to the auction. The seller claimed that it was common between the 1958-61 Pontiac, Buick, Oldsmobile, and Cadillac. I really have no idea
http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=470663418&ed=972339815
 5. Thanks Roberta. I will go to the Buick site and express my interest.
I hope they do not just put a bigger engine and accessory badges on a Regal or LeSabre for the 100th anniversary.
 6. Does Buick plan to honor it's 100th anniversary with a TRUE anniversary vehicle?? How about the Blackhawk?
Dear Moderator: Can the BCA communicate as a group to Buick that a great model is really desired for the anniversary??
 7. Hi Yellow Lark & Dave!
Thanks for the information. It sounds like I will be able to do the Hershey show in the middle or end of the week. I am mostly interested in checking out the vendors anyhow. If nothing else, I can check out the show on Saturday morning and leave early afternoon to get back to Pittsburgh for my work function.
Thanks.
 8. This is the first fall season of owning my 1960 Buick Electra 225 convertible. I really want to attend the Hershey and/or Carlise shows. Which one is better? Which one has more vendors? I really want to attend both, but I have a function to attend the Saturday of the Hershey event. Thanks.
jonosso@aol.com
 9. Does anyone know where I can find either a new or used rubber gasket for a 1960 side rear mirror? The part number on the one that I have is 3760321 M-1573
By the way, Buick-Parts.com and Steele Rubber Products do not have the piece.
Thanks.
jonosso@aol.com
[This message has been edited by jonnyopa (edited 08-01-2000).]
[This message has been edited by jonnyopa (edited 08-01-2000).]
