  1. Based on a Buick parts manual, the 1960 requires two "engine ground straps", Group 2.348 Part Number 2972839. I have not been able to find a matching part number on the internet. Does anyone one know either the exact specs of the straps or where I would best find the correct ones to purchase? Thanks, Jonathan

  3. Question......... There are always GM Authorized Nelmor Trailmaster spotlights for the 1958, 1959, and 1960 GM automobiles available on eBay, but no one seems to be certain about the application of the mounting brackets. From the 1958, 1959, and 1960 Buick parts catalog, I see the following part numbers (the numbers in the parentheses represent the stamping inside the mounting bracket that I can verify): 1958 ........ 1185123 1959 ........ 1190067 1960 ........ 1195417 ....... (F631 D9X) Does anyone know which applications (year/make) the following bracket stampings (and part number in parentheses) are for? F551 ........ also has 3751002 stamped inside F591 ........ also has D8 stamped inside It would be nice if the Buick, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, and Cadillac owners could chime in so there can be an exhaustive listing of the application of each Nelmor Trailmaster Spotlight mounting bracket. Please contribute other stampings, part numbers, and applications to this post. Thanks!!!

  9. Thanks for the information. I should probably see if the cardboard behind the carpeting in my trunk is actually the original cardboard before I make any purchases.
  10. Thanks for the suggestion. I really didn't know that there were hosting sites available. You will see that I have updated the original post with the links.
  11. I may have found the answer to my question. I see that Cars, Inc. (www.oldbuickparts.com) sells a "Trunk Cardboard Panel Kit" for the 1959 and 1960 Buicks. It is part number TPK-590C and sells for $59.00 Has anyone purchased a kit from Car's Inc before? Were you pleased? Thanks.
  12. Does anyone know if there is a reproduction cardboard trunk lining kit for a 1960 Electra 225 convertible? Can templates be found anywhere? Would a cardboard kit for a 1960 Cadillac be the same? I have found a 59-60 Cadillac cardboard kit on USA PARTS SUPPLY - Home Thanks for your help. Jonathan JONOSSO@AOL.COM
  13. I have scanned the following documents that might be helpful to 1960 owners. "Service Procedures for 1960 Buick Guide-Matic Power Headlight Control, Twilight Sentinel, Casco Electric Antenna, Tenna Electric Antenna" (21 pages)1960 Buick Guidematic Twilight Sentinel Casco Electric Antenna Tenna Electric Antenna.pdf "Guide-Matic Power Headlight Control -- Service Instructions for 1960 Buick Model 460" (12 pages) 1960 Buick Guidematic Technical Document.pdf "Twilight Sentinel Automatic Lightswitch -- Service Instructions for 1960 Buick Model L460" (8 pages) 1960 Buick Twilight Sentinel Technical Document.pdf Jonathan Osso Email: JONOSSO@AOL.COM
  14. Hi Dan, Thanks for that referral. I am just now trying to focus on my car. I haven't had it out for a spin in almost 3 years. I want to get it ready for Flint. :-)
  15. I would like to find a reputable air conditioning repair service in the SW PA, WV, or OH tri-state area. This is for a 1960 Buick. I have never even tried the a/c. I would like to find an outfit that will give the whole system a workover. Does anyone have a solid referral? Many thanks!!
  16. I would like to find a reputable leather interior specialist in the SW PA, WV, or OH tri-state area. Does anyone have a solid referral? Many thanks!! jonosso@aol.com
  17. Did you get the email I sent you with the Twilight Sentinel manual?
  18. My 1960 Electra 225 convertible has both the Twilight Sentinel and Guidematic headlamp dimmer. My car was equipped with every option except for the bucket seats. I can scan the Twilight Sentinel documentation that I have and send it to you. I will be able to do that this weekend. What is your email address? Jonathan jonosso@aol.com
  19. It was definitely a driver. I don't recall seeing any body rust-through, but I am not certain. The interior was average. I am not certain whether the seat coverings were original or not. I honestly did not absorb much about the condition because I am content with my '60 Electra and have no interest in buying anything else.
  20. I saw a 1957 Buick Century Model 63 four door Riviera hardtop for sale south of Pittsburgh, PA. I believe the actual location is considered Finleyville, PA. I took pictures with my cellphone, and I have attached them on here. The asking price is $3,500 or best offer. The contact number is 724-348-5508, and the seller's name is Rich, if I remember correctly.
