4. I have 2 sets of 1965 Wildcat/Electra/LeSabre cornering lights. I can sell you just the one you need, or a set in case you want a spare for the other side. The ones I have are not mint cond., but good used/usable. I will look at them again real close and get back to you with better details. I also have other 1965 Buick parts as well, let me know if there is anything else you need that I might have.
Joe

6. according to the Hollander interchange manual the 66 Skylark axle shaft can come from 66 or 67 Skylark and Special regular cars but not the GS 400 or the Sportwagon, and it can come from a 68 Skylark or Special, but it will have a different bearing. 1964 or 65 axle shaft will not work at all in 66 or later, they are of differing lengths. Hope this helps. I have the right shaft here if you have not found the correct one yet. I would part with it for $125 including shipping.
7. Buick never had a 240, but they had a 215 all aluminum V8 (1961-63) and they had a 300 (64-67) and a 340 which was only for 66 and 67. It is most likely that you have the 340 which should have traces of factory red paint on it somewhere and it will also have just 4 bolts per valve cover. I would buy your engine if it were not for the many miles between here and there. I am sure you will sell it fairly easily at that price. The 340 was a very good engine that put out enough to move the big LeSabres of 66 and 67! Just thought you might like to know some facts about Buick small blocks.
8. I have a mint factory radio delete plate (rare) from a 64 Buick LeSabre. I know that it will fit 63 and 64 Wildcat - LeSabre - Electra non A/C car. I will part with it for $80 including shipping. I also have other parts for 64 full size.
Still available.
[ 05-17-2002: Message edited by: Buick Doctor ]
[ 05-18-2002: Message edited by: Buick Doctor ]
9. I have a 70 Electra 225 2 door parts car. I am in Vermont. I can ship most parts. I have a mint black dashpad, and nice set of fender skirts. The car has power windows and drivers power seat(40) with non power pass. seat(60). Many other good parts, let me know what you need. Also parting out a 70 Riviera and a 72 Electra Limited. I want to buy 67-70 big Buick power disc brakes.
10. I have 1972 Electra and Lesabre parts cars. I have the long throttle cable and it could be yours for $25 including shipping. Lots more Buicks parts available.
11. I am parting out a 1970 Electra 2 DR HT and I already stripped a four door version. I will sell the car mostly complete if someone has to have it. It could be restored but you could find a nicer car to start with. I am looking for 70 Wildcat fender vents the fake air scoop vents on the front fenders. I will buy a set that isn't in very great shape. I am not looking for show quality ones. I have a mint black dashpad for 69/70 Wildcat for sale $150. I know where there is a 70 Lesabre parts car. I am also parting out a 70 Riviera.
12. 1970 Riviera (non-GS) parts car just in and has both front fenders in above avg. cond. I will try to get a digital camera and get you some up close pics. I will look them over again tomorrow and make sure they are in good shape. I am keeping the 455 and the TH400 and the posi rear. I am also keeping some interior stuff as I am restoring my 69 Rivi. The 70 has alot of nice pieces like front bumper, grille, hood, taillights, front side marker lights, head light trim rings, wheel opening moldings for front fenders, dealer installed rear defroster blower type, and more. I am parting out a 70 Electra 2 DR HT too. Anyway I will get back to you but I estimate around $125-150 each fender, plus s/h unless you come pick them up in southern Vermont.
13. The 1965 Skylark 4-spd cars had a very small rectangular chrome shifter cover plate that also had the R-1-2-3-4 pattern to the right and a round Buick emblem in the center, and of course the square hole to the left for the shifter to stick up thru. This chrome plate was on a plastic base that conformed to the driveshaft tunnel on the floor. Beyond all of that, only optionally available was the consolette in front of the shifter and angling up toward the dash. On top of that option, was another extra cost option of a factory Buick tachometer mounted in the consolette. If the tach was not ordered, there would naturally be a tri-shield emblem there instead. Further more, and again an extra cost option, was a storage type console which in 64 featured a padded armrest that stuck up above the storage area and looked very stylish. 1965 may have some Buicks with the armrest console, but most had a much lower padded top on the same base as the 64 armrest console. This small storage console was available from 64 to the mid 70's in most models with bucket seats. From 65 to 70 the padded console lid had a tri-shield emblem, 71-up cars had a pushbutton release for the lid where the emblem is on the earlier cars. Now, onto automatic shifting full length consoles. The 65-67 Gran Sport/Skylark cars with the extra cost bucket seats, could have a very sharp long console that was available with the tach for not very much more. This style had a single shifter lever with a chrome/black handle with pushbutton on top. It also had one lockable storage compartment with a courtesy light at the back to light the rear floor for rear passengers. The 65-66 cars will always and only have a 2 speed automatic trans. indicator. 1967 GS auto. cars will only and always have the 3 speed transmission indicator. But, a 67 Skylark could still have the 2 speed Super Turbine 300 and so have the indicator like the 65-66 cars. The 68-72 Skylark/GS consoles are similar, but yet some years have certain identifiable features. These all have a so-called "horseshoe" or "staple" shifter that sticks up thru a plastic console with a pushbutton storage door and light at the rear, also a Buick emblem in front of the shifter. No tachometer was ever available on or in these 68-72 consoles. The big Buicks, like the Wildcat, had automatic shift consoles that changed with the years. 62 was the first year for the Wildcat and it had as standard equipment (imagine that?) a console with tachometer. And in 63 they still made it a standard feature. 62-63 had automatic trannys with a strange to most shift pattern with reverse at the back. In 64 Buick made you pay extra for the tach in the Wildcat, the console featured push down pop up lids over the storage area, and ash tray, and litter receptacle. 64 was the first year ever for the 400 transmission and Buick called it the Super Turbine 400 and it had P-R-N-D-L showing in the indicator as though it were only a 2 speed, but really they are 3 speed automatics. 65 got a much better ST400 with a variable stator torque converter that allowed high stall and low stall speeds with the same converter. And the shift pattern from 65 on in a Buick with the 400 trans, is P-R-N-D-L2-L1. I know that most of you Buick guys reading this already know all this stuff, but think about the guys just getting into Buicks. I actually have just that chrome 4 spd shifter plate for the 65 car but I don't have the base, sorry. I need to get $60 incl. S/H. I also don't have the consolette, or the tach. I do have 2 padded top storage consoles from 1965, 1 red, 1 tan. Either one needs vinyl recover. $90 each including S/H. I have thousands of 60's-70's Buick parts, but running low on some of the choice stuff.
