  1. That’s one way of looking at it. If you read the ad, seller states it runs and drives great. I don’t think he would state that if it needs what you’re saying. If it is a good runner, $4500 is cheap for something you can drive around and have a little fun with.
  2. Better photos would help immensely at seeing the condition of the car and where it’s being stored. That in turn will help determine the value. Is it sitting on concrete or dirt? What happened to the engine? What transmission is in it?
  3. Probably on top of the frame, driver’s side behind the rear tire. If you Google it, you may find I’m wrong and the correct location. However, I believe GM used the same location for most of their vehicles in the late 50’s and early 60’s. I know my Impalas were stamped in that location.
  4. Only way you’ll know for sure if the underside is solid is put it on a lift. Couple things I noticed: underside of the hood is rusty; not terrible, but indicative of moisture getting trapped under it. The other is the bottoms of the door panels; usually when they’re flapping in the breeze like these, the bottoms of the doors are bad. I suppose out there, you can just grab a sheep from the field, skin it, and slap it on the interior.😄 Wiring is probably shot from mice chewing it and the interior “fragrance” is probably enough to burn your eyes and nose.
  5. Unless you’re in a desert, sitting on dirt rots the underside. As far as I can tell, there are no deserts in Idaho.
  6. All the parts he put in the truck must have been 22K gold.
  7. It’s worth $29,000 on FB. Everything on FB is $29,000.
  8. No disrespect for the Packard, but I would be drawn to the Buick - it looks original, untouched.
  9. Nice car, ugly wheels. He did post a price, although somewhat wishful. Just saw a ‘64 427 car for sale on FB for about $10,000 more than this. Wonder if this one was bought right at Mecum and now is being flipped.
  10. Don’t dispute that. You mention if the seller can document the build. Without the engine and trans, what build? Maybe I’m wrong and maybe it will sell for his asking. And maybe/probably there are too many buyers with more money than brains and too many sellers cashing in on the stupidity.
  11. This is George Smolinski, but I’m signed in as Snarfy. I’ve tried numerous times signing in as George Smolinski on my I-pad and I-phone. I keep getting an error message, either my user name or password is incorrect. It is NOT. I don’t have any issues with my desktop, just the I-pad & I-phone. HELP!
