  1. Many years ago, I stopped at an antique store in rural Michigan and found a box full of old Dort family photos. It also included some photos of the Durant family. I donated all of them to Kettering University and they have them in their archives at Factory One in Flint.
  2. Rarity, Condition, and Audience makes all the difference.
  3. It's not a good idea to commingle private funds with an LLC. Courts will consider this "Lifting the Corporate Veil". If you are unfamiliar with this term, or "Piercing the Corporate Veil", then Google it. This is a legal phrase that describes the owners of a corporation losing the limited liability that having a corporation provides them. When this happens, the owners' personal assets can be used to satisfy business debts and liabilities.
  4. I collect pre-1958 automotive showroom banners. The in-person hunt for banners is definitely more rewarding than finding one online. But, unfortunately, so many of the quality antique stores across the country have closed and buying banners online has certainly made collecting them more obtainable.
  5. Wow, after 42 years he still hasn't gotten around to pulling it out of the box!
  6. I know what you mean. It's unbelievable what some folks will pay for ultra-rare porcelain signs. Thankfully, the Kaiser Frazer signs are fairly common and it's easier to get a ball-park value from completed auctions. There are three Kaiser Frazer signs coming up for auction soon.
  7. Yep, that's what I need and your Uncle probably wants to keep.
  8. From the title, I was expecting to see someone in their 20's! Either way, it's just nice to see someone interested in cars that old.
  9. Hopefully those signs weren't just shipped in from India! Any idea if the signs are for sale?
  10. Wanted: "Frazer" bottom part of the two-piece Kaiser-Frazer sign. When things started to look rocky for the Kaiser-Frazer partnership, the company decided to make their signs in two parts. The lower Frazer part could be unbolted and replaced with another make (like Willys). The upper "Kaiser" part in the pictures is my sign and I'd like to find the bottom "Frazer" part in about the same condition. The sign is 59 inches in diameter. The "Frazer" sign in the pictures is what I'm looking for. Thanks!
