  1. Can 3.42 replace non GS gears, please? If so, what does switch entail?
  2. While I realize passenger side mirrors are rare, for me it’s a safety issue. Are matching mirrors available for 67 Riviera, please?
  3. Is it possible to exchange 3.42 for 3.02? If so, any thoughts on availability and cost, please/
  4. Not yet. He’s trying to reach a settlement with PJ’s & owes me receipts. . . .then it’ll be easier- if there is such a thing - to determine a fair price. I don’t wish to overpay and don’t expect him to give it away. I had it inspected by 3rd party and am satisfied with what they found + his subsequent repairs
  5. JZriv. . . First was lack of insulation retainer strap under hood. Then demanded they verify axle stamp. It is a highly optioned car. . .so it was easy to believe it was GS + it was sold at Carlisle auction as GS. Without the help here I would have been lost. Again. . . Thank you.
  6. Can’t tell you all how much I appreciate your collegiality to a “newbie”! Thank you.
  7. Thanks! Prices seem lower than transactions I’ve seen. What is this resource, please?
  8. Honest collector! Turns out 67 Riviera is not a GS as sold by PJ’s in May. Seller so honest even offered to return my inspection fee. . . .what a breath of fresh air. Still like this highly optioned car. Please reply with what you feel is a fair price for this one, now knowing not a GS. Thanks to everyone who has helped me through this process!!
  9. Thank you! Earlier it was mentioned there should also be a circle with an x in the middle. I don’t see that here? Is the D 255 important, please?
  10. Thanks, EmTee, don’t know what I was thinking.
  11. No. Fellow I’m talking with bought it from PJ’s about 6 months ago.
  12. Thanks Jason. I do like the car. Not looking for a #1. . . Wish to be able to enjoy it. Waiting for seller to produce picture of axle stamp. Can’t see hood insulation strap and condenser appears to be incorrect according to EmTee. If stamp is also incorrect it would appear odds are this Riviera was sold at least twice as GS incorrectly. Happy with vehicle as is. . . .just don’t want to pay a premium for GS if not GS. What do you feel is a fair price #2, TMU, with buckets, console & posi? Again, thank you!
  13. White currently on BAT with 25 minutes left. Appears to be solid 2, yet selling at $22K. Is there something I’m missing, please? Very interested.
  14. Amazing how much you fellows know about these cars! If a 67 has the non 3.42 condenser, if there any chance it can be a GS? Same is true for insulation retainer strap under hood?
  15. Asked seller of 67 Riviera to look at rear axle Stan code and he replied with a picture seeming to show QA 068. Does anyone know whether this indicates GS or not, please? Thanks again!
  16. Thank you. If you have a moment, vehicle may be seen on YouTube as PJ’s 67 Buick Riviera. The add with more pictures has been taken down. Really appreciate your help. If not a GS, how much does that decrease value, please? Again, thank you for your interest and assistance.
  17. Thanks for your comments/suggestions regarding 67 Riviera GS I am considering. Several of you asked for additional information. Here goes: 494877H929075 VIN 03B F 67-49487 EUC171586 651-B D4 EX 2EG 4F This is Blue/Blue sold at Carlyle in Spring as #2, purchased by PJ's and available on YouTube, and for sale on Hemmings in fall and early winter. Current asking price $35. Any help really appreciated
  18. Thanks for your help! This GS has been very visible this year. It’s blue/blue. . .no vinyl. Sold at Carlyle in the spring for $27,500 to PJ’s. Pj’s sold it to New Jersey collector. He had it listed at about $55 for several months, lowering it to $49. Both Carlyle & my appraiser indicated vehicle is #2. A YouTube video by PJ’s does exist. can’t express how much I appreciate your help with this. I’m looking for a fun drive. . .think these have beautiful lines. . .but am neither a flipper or dealer.
  19. I’m considering the purchase of a 1967 Riviera GS. I’d like to verify that it is, in fact, a GS . . . And learn what options are included. Is there any way for me to retrieve build sheet, please?
