  1. Much better with the silicone seals. They arrived in 3 days in France ! 👍
  2. Plastigauge done today on all the crankshaft caps and all the connecting rods, everything is ok! 👍😅 The crank has been reworked perfectly. And silicone seals ordered too from BOP 👍
  3. On a Buick Engine group on Facebook, lot of people told me to replace by neoprene. What's your feedback on those?
  4. The crank just came back from machining with 010 less, so I got+010 bearings. When I torque all the caps without the rope seal, I can turn the crank by the hand, with not too much forcing it The problem is when installing the rope. I used a round tool to preinstall it, as I saw on different tutorials, and oiled it. It comes from a gasket kit from FelPro And I used rebuild grease on all the bearings
  5. Hi all, I reinstalled the crank today, with new bearings. It first was stuck and I found out that the rope seal is the problem. I can't turn the crank when the rear bolts are tighten with the correct torque. The rope seals are brand new from fel-pro rebuild kit. Has someone got any tip? I removed the crank and checked the seal several times already.
  6. some of them had signs of advanced wear, and dead internal springs
  7. Finally got all my stuff back, after one year due to problems with the crank. And pistons ar 030, so everything is ready for a rebuild!! 🙂
  8. Hi all, I need to replace the lifters on my 430. I have checked on Rockauto and found two Sealed Power references. One for hollow push rod, and one for Solid push rod. Can someone tell me what is the difference?
  9. Yes @telriv, that's what is done now and why I don't have my pistons 😉
  10. I'll get my pistons back next week as my crank is being repaired and balanced. I'll check them. Thank you @gungeey
  11. Hello all, It's been a few months since I have post on the forum. I had to put the 67 riviera restoration project on the side for some time due to personal problems. Today I measured my cylinders to check if they were correct before reassembling the engine. all cylinder measurements are close, there are no big deviations. According to the workshop book, the original bore should be 4.1875 inches. The measurements I find are between 4.2204 and 4.2181, which make a 0.030 difference. Can someone confirm the engine has probably been rebored?
  12. @JZRIV Thank you for the hint I need the original one dimension anyway, they were not on the car when I bought it
  13. Hello all, Does anyone know where I could find front lower arm bumpers for my 67? Already searched Cars, Opgi, Fusick, Rubbertherightway, Ebay... Nothing
  14. It is a bit complicated to see correctly things in the shop manual. Sometimes a picture helps a lot
  15. Thank you very muck @rocky5517 This will help me a lot. I finally found all the lines I missed and I will get a rusty muffler in the pack of part.
  16. Sure, I should call them. I already bought the condenser and the evaporator from them.
  17. Hi everyone, I am still working on the AC rebuild and I saw that there were a muffler mentionned on the chassis manual. Has someone a solution to find it somewhere?
  18. @XframeFX another good european website for cars is mobile.de English is available
  19. If you have the A/C option, you should have these air hoses behind your dashboard
  20. Hello all! Continuing this topic as I am rebuilding the engine bay! I now have nearly all the main parts for the A/C, but it is difficult to find where to install them as I have never seen them installed. Could someone post detailled pictures of the A/C of his car and help me? I think I miss a bracket for the POA valve, I don't know where the expansion valve must be screwed and where the dryer must be installed either
  21. @JZRIV Thank you for Ta performance, I didn't find it on their site when I was searching this morning, but found it now! 👍
  22. Thank you for all your answers. I'm waiting for the "specialist" to give me some news. I knew them for years but yes, they f****d up this time. They have a racing team and they are making race engines, they have good press. A really big mistake. I'll wait for them to find a solution.
  23. Hello all, As I am rebuilding my engine, I took the cranckshaft to check to a specialist. It was supposed to rebore the main bearing to 0.010, but they told me they had a problem with the machine and had to rebore 0.040. I didn't get it back yet as I am waiting for them to give me the bearing reference +0.040 to buy. But searching on my side, I can't find any reference that size, only 0.030 for the maximum. Has someone got any information on this? I am probably stuck in a big s**t because of these guys...😡
  24. If only there were AutoZone in France 😉
