Send me a picture and or part number of what you are after and the next time I visit with Andy Hook in a month or so I will ask if he has one. Likely will. I did ask him about the rear tire mount but he didn't have any.

Great present idea! 🎁

Let me check my parts. I have a few axles and want to make sure I've got the right one for you.

They l9ok great!

I was told that the hollow backed ones are for Dictators and the solid backed are Commander and President. Not sure how true this is. All my 34 dictator ones are hollow.

To all that may be thinking of getting parts from Paul, I just received the parts I needed. Fast delivery, exactly what I needed and at good prices. Great experience I will use again if I need other parts.
I had no idea who he was prior to seeing his original post. Glad I read it and checked out the list.
dave sI second your opinion Dave. Great to deal with. Reasonable prices. Made me a happy man finding the parts I did. 😁

Would it not be in the same spot as the Stude? Drivers side frame rail seen inside the front fender.

I was curious if it was a spare tire decorative cap?

The front felt washers are p/n 510289. There is an Ebay ad for a pair of these: item 131177492388. These appear to be old National Oil Seal p/n 5M100. I can't find dimensions of these, but here is another place on line that stocks them for $16.95 each: See Ensign Bearing part # FW100 at http://www.ensignbearing.com/seals/felt_washers.htm
The rear seals used cork washers, p/n 510735 for the outer seal, p/n 510729 for the inner seal. These days, it would be better to replace the cork washer with a rubber lip seal that fits in the space. Surely, someone has done this replacement before.
Is there enough demand for these parts to reproduce them? They fit 1934-37 Dictators plus 1937 Coupe Express trucks.
I used a modern rubber lip seal on mine. Can't recall the PN atthe moment but I have it recorded and will post when I do. I have found that all the seals that I've replace with modern ones have had the closest matches using metric seals.

I haven't gotten mine yet. I was wondering when it should be coming

Good call Robert. I looked through a thousand pictures trying to identify it. Now I know.
Now that I know what its from, if there is anyone interested message me. We can talk price and delivery. I'll be in Dunkirk this weekend and Hershey in October.
Thanks again Robert!

A friend has asked me to find a good home for this fuel gauge. He was told it was for a 37 Coupe Express but it doesn't look anything like the 37s I've seen. The closest I've been able to match it with is some 32 model year Studes but all of them had a black background. Any opinions from the wise individuals here?

They have King Pin Bearings. Studebakerparts.com
BRB036F KING PIN BEARING
The King Pin should be easy to have made.

I was pretty sure they were the same as my 34 Dictator as Starlightcoupe's picture shows. I think I have a spare set of NOS however they are my spare set. LOL I can take some measurements from them if I do have them and send them to you to have made. For some reason though, I thought Studebaker PArts.com had them. I'll look and post back here if I find them.

There is virtually no worry about mud on the show field
after rain. The whole club found this out several years ago,
when we had 9 or 10 inches of rain just prior to the show!
The field is a former golf course--evidently so well designed
that drainage is no problem. There was almost no mud at all.
It was amazing.
I laughed when I read this because it brought back memories of a meet in the early 80's they had to call in the National Gaurd to pull people out of the mud! LOL

I read in another post that you used a Volvo thermostat? Do you recall which one you used? A part number? Is it a thermostat that mounts under the tube on the cylinder head?
I have a 34 Dictator and it is the same engine as yours. I don't believe the car originally came with a thermostat but it makes sense to use one.
Your car looks great!
Thanks. Derek

Restoration is all a big learning curve, isn't it Herman. One thing I learned about most early cars is they did not have special torques for bolts. They used the standard torque table for all critical bolts.

Does the rear doors on a Studebaker 1934 - 1935 four door bodys fits between those two years?

If I can rememberin a few months when I can pull my 35 dictator sedan out of the trailer, I will compare with my 34 Coupe and let you know. 😉
