  2. If it ever quit running you could park in on the lawn in front and use it as a terrarium.
  3. Looks like a very nice car, and the DB Senior Six is a great engine! It's always been amazing to me that this engine, which was designed prior to Dodge's acquisition by Chrysler, had so much in common with the Chrysler engines.
  4. I agree...Duct Tape is only an appropriate repair on post WWII vehicles.
  5. If I were selling a car, I wouldn't leave the starting fluid in the picture! $10K https://merced.craigslist.org/cto/d/atwater-1926-ford-model-tt/7465447699.html# This is a 1926 Ford Model TT truck. 9. I'm only learning just about Hudsons, but I would not have expected the temperature gauge to be electrical.
  10. I lived near Donner Summit (7700 ft) in the early 80's. The California Highway Patrol received a few Dodge K cars to try out. They couldn't catch a loaded semi going uphill!
  11. Right you are about history! And, if Cadillac and LaSalle had it, you know it filter down to "the lesser marques" quicker than a movie queen's hat style.
  12. It's a rare car for a reason! Few would have ordered that combination of features. I'm sure it's underpowered by modern standards but probably got gas mileage in the low 20's when others were in the low teens.
  13. Seems like a lot of car for near Model A money! Love that dash! https://classiccars.com/listings/view/1482564/1928-hudson-super-6-for-sale-in-wichita-falls-texas-76308 1928 Hudson Super Six 2-door coupe with rumble seat. 14. Here's a link to a previous sale with a lot more info: https://www.lotsearch.net/lot/photo-credit-james-mann-23263715
  15. Looks like it could be (with a color change) Ruger fabricated Titanium connecting rods himself to handle the big HP. https://www.callawaycars.com/homepage/the-company/callaway-cars/ruger-stutz/
  16. Certain cars (Pre-RR Bentleys, Model Ts and Porsches) have been deemed fair game by the marketplace for high quality modifications. Stutz isn't in that group but Callaway is an absolutely top notch engineering firm and tier one automotive supplier. We'll see how this sale goes...it only takes one (or two assuming there is a reserve). This doesn't seem the right venue for this car at all. I could imagine if it were at Bonhams in Monterey, there would be a page and a half of text telling you why you want it.
  17. This won't be everyone's cup of tea, it it is in the style of John "Jumbo ” Goddard's Bentley of 60 years ago or Jay Leno's twin turbo 8 liter in a 3 liter chassis. Stutz almost beat Bentley at Le Mans in 1928 so there is a certain equality there. Not sure there is a Stutz "Driver's Club" that's active in the way the Bentley Boys are, but maybe this will start one... 18. These are quite small but nicely made. They have a big following in Europe. https://houston.craigslist.org/cto/d/austin-1929-french-amilcar/7471576053.html EMAIL: 348a3bf8c43b3c6d905af277f7aa156d@sale.craigslist.org This car retains most of its original components. However, the original 1929 M type engine was upgraded to a 1930’s type M3 engine giving it better performance. The engine swap was done sometime in the 1950’s according to oral history. The engine is a 1,244cc inline-four rated at 27 HP paired with a three speed manual transmission.Current top speed is around 55 MPH.The body has no rust and paint shows nicely.Undercarriage and engine compartment are clean and presentable. The interior, dash, chrome, glass, tires, etc are in nice shape. All gauges work except the clock.Headlights brake lights, blinkers and dash light works.A water pump and electric fan has been added at some point for efficient cooling.Blinkers have been added. The car runs, drives shifts and brakes well.Starts immediately with the touch of the start button. It has a brand new starter that has been manufactured specifically for this engine.Original starter is included with sale.Convertible top, frame and side curtains are in presentable condition and are included. The seats have been replaced with black bucket seats, but the (2) original tan leather bench seats come with car. This car is in remarkable condition but does need attention which I am not able to provide.- Currently, the transmission is leaking gear oil out of the rear bearing.- A new replacement bearing will be ordered.- There is currently a coolant leak. (Not from original radiator)- Engine would benefit from a rebuild
  19. You rarely see these for sale, even in the UK! https://orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/d/garden-grove-ford-model-tudor/7463850595.html Ford Model YSuccessor to the Ford Model T and Ford Model A for most European countriesFrom 1933 to 1936 there were no changes in the body of the car and is powered by a small 4 cylinderwith a 3 speed transmission, Mechanical Brakes, and Right Hand Drive. Has new tires and tubes with just a few hundred miles on them, also includes rebuilt spare parts like a distributor, carb, starter, and fuel pump. I've won multiple awards at almost every car show I rarely go to because it is one of the most rare prewar Fords you will find in America as there is likely less than a dozen here in the states and likely one of the most original ones in the world, I have original paperwork going back to WW2 of the previous past owners that will be included with the car, I've had 3 car museums that wanted this car in their collection as there are none of these in museums in the USARegistered in my name and owned for the past 3-4 years but unfortunately need to sell, my dad passed about a month ago and while still paying for his expenses I'm in Escrow buying a house so money has gotten pretty tight, would honestly only like offers in person and needs to be sold asap if possible, I was offered about a year ago at a car show $20,000 but didn't want to sell at the time but I'm trying to sell this quick and think this will get it sold for the timeframe I need (949) 415-7732
  20. Where can I find this? When I googled it I got Helping Hearts California and Hilton Head Christian Academy!
  21. Although not entirely correct, I do think it's a very neat car. I watched the video and the dealer (obviously very knowledgeable) mentioned that the hub caps don't all match, and in fact one says Stutz, which he pronounced as "Stewtz" . I think this is it...couldn't zoom in enough to be sure.
