  2. Hello. On a drive last Thursday I lost a A5 nut on my 1928 Buick. Would anyone have one they be willing to sell or know of someone who might have such a item? Any help will be appreciated!

  7. I think that’s the wood spike rims on older Buicks dibarlaw. Wire rims were 21 inch
  8. I placed this already in the Parts Wanted area on here, but here I go. I lost one Thursday night. The jam nut came loose and is gone. Main nut luckily stayed tight so rim stayed on. Anyone have a set for one rim to sell be much appreciated. Dad and I are searching for it backing tracking in the pickup and walking Im adding pictures of what im asking for. Thank you , Grant
  9. Hi folks. Thursday night heading to a cruise in with the 1928 Buick a jam nut came loose and I can’t find it, at least not yet ! Even if I find it, I’m still wanting to purchase a spare set anyways. Any help to locate or purchase the nuts be great. I’ll add photos to this post of the parts. Thank you , Grant

  12. I actually looked up the ratio last night in my Master Parts book for Buicks. Brakes are on the agenda to set up. It stops (rolls) lol. Parking brake locks up to help
  13. Thomas, wondering if that Tach is working good still later on? I’m looking at adding one like it to my 1928
  14. I have the rebuild kit bought from Bob’s. I guess I know what project I should be doing in the near future
  15. My ‘28 still retains its vacuum tank system Hubert. Thank you for the explanation with diagrams. I thought of pumping into the tank now I won’t. Mind you I hadn’t taken time to study it. You just saved me that time. I regulate my electric to 0.5 psi approximately.
  16. According to the Buick manual I have roadster were 4.90:1 ratio. I believe it’s still that way. Start out on pavement in 2nd no issue. Motor is wound out around 55 mph
  17. My car has stock gear set. I believe to be 4.92:1? Not needed in modern world as roads are paved. question is who do you fellows use for gears? I’m thinking 3.55:1 in that area. Ground is flat in my area. Thank you Grant
  18. Mark I’ve ordered my last inline. I’ll go this way with a larger filter and this pump from Carter. What I’ve read in the ad for the pump sounds like a quality pump. Thank you Mark
  19. Thank you for the advice. I appreciate it. No mechanical pump on a 1928 so good there. I have that regulator already on the car. Great advices Grimy
  20. My inquiry is 6 volt fuel pumps. Inline pumps seem to short in life span. Been through 2 for the short miles I put on the car. Has anyone ran a 6 volt pump by Carter p/n4259? It’s a larger pump with 6psi pressure. Or I thought of taking the car back to vacuum as the car retains all its vacuum components, with an inline as a backup. Thoughts? Thank you
