looking for a original 1933 Rockne tail light foto. Found a repro tail light, not correct, but close I think, the Glass/Logo insert fits perfect, but I don't know is the original housing chromed as the ring or black enamel? Thank you

Brad, I found a shop here in Germany makes all colors from nitro. Also they sell the needed base and filler. If I had the recipe...... As I wrote, the scanner lead us to Nirwhana, only 84% match. So we can not use it. But hey, I am a German, we fix everything ;-) ..... lol Joerg

Thank you so much. Yes, I think you are correct with the Number. Its Premier Maroon IM-375. The Paint code should be 1494 Maroon on Black with gold stripes. Now I have to find the recipe... ;-) We tryed the Scanner way before, we get only a lot of mismatches. Best was 84%, thats bad.... The problem for me is, I don't know a company who can mix Nitro. Everybody uses Acrylic only.... Thank you Joe

These Trafficators are very common in Europe. These are European brand and installed later, since the car came in 1934 to Netherlands. Back to nitro - anyone? ;-)

Gentlemen, finaly we found a nice non abrasive polish for the original Nitro paint on the 33 rockne. ( see edge of cowl). So we will polish the whole body soon by hand. The pre owner repainted the Hood only. Its not nice and wrong color. The original color is something like very dark (wine) red/ maroon. The repainted Hood is more like brown. Is there a way to find the Factory color Code for this paint and is there a scource for primer/ filler/ paint in nitrocellulouse ? thank you joe

are 33 Rockne wire wheels chromed or painted from factory? A friend told me, he found a trace of chrome on old Rockne wire wheels, all pictures I can find in web shows they are painted. But maybe since the chrome is gone away? If painted, what color? My wheels are painted too, but have a chrome trim ring on it. Thank you Joe

Gentlemen, I try to repair a set of two TRICO whiper motors. Will become a challenge since one have a broken housing, the other one a broken shaft. Both are different in and outside........ Okay, what material are the "Piston" - is it leather? is there a way to get it soft again? What kind of grease is inside the housing? One is scripted some times in and outside with TRICO, the other one not. Is this maybe a "copy" or "plagiat" ??? Thank you Joe

Finaly I found a nice set head lamps for the Rockne. Will send them to chrome shop next week, will restore the inside of lamps also. How to restore/ polish the reflectors? Looks like it silver plated? Thank you Joe

Gentlemen, after rebuilding the carurator the car starts and runs like a brandnew 2017 car. I have to pull the choke 1/2", short turning the starter - wroooom! Even with cold Engine! Thank you so much for your help and advice! Joe

Brad, you are one reason to do that ;-) I saw your car misses this Part too.... I found a 2nd silencer but no Aircleaner. The connection between air cleaner and silencer seems the weak point. maybe the most of them came loose and fall on the road over the years... Jörg

Brad, maybe its part of the "DeLuxe" Package? The car also have chrome trim rings on wheels and dual chromed Horns. Do you know the whire wheels originally are chromed to? thank you Joerg

Hi Brad, both lamp brackets are broken, there where the rod to grille goes in. Also the Side mount holder and wing nut are broken. Someone tried to fix them.... I have a spare side mount holder but will try to safe these parts. Joerg

Gentlemen, we come closer to find all these needed original parts to bring our Rockne Roadster down to stock factory condition. But we are missing still all the tools, jack and hand crank stored under seat. This space is empty at our car. Who have these parts for sale?
