Sounds to me like each switch is failing in opposite ways with the contacts. I would suggest using dielectric grease to clean the contacts. When you remove the bezel on each door be careful not to break off the tab that holds the bezel firmly in place. The tabs are on the back side (toward the rear of the car). It is unusual that the switches would fail in the manner that they did but as it sits you have both the lock and unlock features available.

I am going to guess that it is the rheostat portion of the headlight switch. Since the radio is plugged into who knows what the lights on the radio may have no bearing but lets assume that the A/C and heater are still connected as it should be. Turn the headlights on and turn the headlight rheostat and see if the lights in the A/C heater go up and down. If they go up and down the rheostat is working. If hey don't go up and down I would guess that the rheostat portion of the switch is broken.

Not sure what you mean by "isn't used" but here is my "isn't used' as it is disconnected as it goes through the fire wall just left of the accumulator. The other ends are looped around so that it does not go any where but back to the water pipe.

Here is a picture of one of my pull down mechanisms and it has 2 relays, the black plastic and the silver. I would like to know what both of them do.

As best as I can recall, I was once told that the relay can go bad if it get wet. Does it appear to be rusty? Needless to say, they are located in an area that it can get rain on. It that is the problem I do not know the part number or where to get it. On my relay it shows the Chrysler symbol and "4221653" new line "901611" new line "Made in USA" new line "299". Hope this helps.

I have received the pull down motor housing and the paddle switch and they are identical. I will install the new parts next week to insure that there is no other problem.

Yes the switches for the tonneau cover and the pull down are individual switches identical to the door lock and passenger door window switch. If your hard top is on the car (85 pounds) I don't believe the tonneau would pop up. The tonneau cover should make a click sound when the switch is pushed on the top side. There is a manual release wire for the tonneau on each side of the storage compartment. If the tonneau has popped up and you push the top side of the switch it will click again. There are two tonneau releases one on each side of the car. Does your pull down switch work?

It looks identical to one of mine that I have out currently. My problem with the selling company is that they should have provided more pictures from other sides and dimensions. I bought one anyway. When it arrives I will let you know how it matches up.
