  1. Looking for mostly the seat bottom. Do not care what condition the fabric or color or if there is any. I need the frame at the least.
  2. Ok.... got spark!! Removed the switch and jumped it. Removed the wire from coil and quick ground showed sparks. Connected all, cranked it... nothing. Removed the distributor cap and noticed the contact on the rotor was not contacting the cap, stretched the spring, put it back together, removed the #1 plug and (TADA!) Sparks! Sound and feel like a little girl.. all giggly.
  3. Thanks nearchoclatetown, I found a Dykes manual online but it's edition 19. Got it free on google. Haven't read thru it yet. Can't seem the find #14 for 1925.
  4. Thanks Platt. Tex..... what? I tried to test it the way I've done on my 60's/70's muscle. Used a multimeter to get a reading but nothing registered. Since this era is new to me, I seem to let this throw me. Logic would dictate the process would still hold but again..... FYI. it's a mid 25 so 12v positive ground. I've got so many issues with this car...
  5. Anyone have suggestions on how to do this? Anyone know the specs? I can't seem to find anything.
  6. How much for the horn and radiator badge? Add shipping to northern nj too.
  7. Thanks, but those don't help at all and not sure how the 'fixing' thing relates but again, thank you Can anyone help out? Anything happening locally where I can see these up close and personal? Hershey?
  8. Hi, Would anyone mind if I come look at their sedan? I want to familiarize myself with the original parts, hear what it supposed to sound like, etc.... I promise, I'm not creep, killer or thief!! I just want to make sure I have the correct parts, etc.. PLEASE HELP.
  9. Can someone let me know if this is an older model? See arrow, does this mean 2 gaskets? Also, the flapper seems to be ok. I also submerged the float and its fine. All the inner working seem to be ok as well.
  10. Vent tube is clear. As much as I hate to, I'm gonna take it apart. Now I gotta find the gasket.
  11. Ok... filled the vacuum tank with gas and the line to carb filled up immediately. Carb needle in down. There is gas coming from the tube that going into the engine between cylinders 3 & 4. What is the sliding cover that rotates to show an opening in this tube? Should the hole be showing?! Ive never seen such a thing. Also, why does the gas retract from the gas can once I stop cranking? I'm trying to get over the fact this is not my old 60's muscle but the principles gotta still be the same. Remember, this thing has been in a barn for 60 years. Talk to me like I'm stupid please!!
  12. There doesn't seem to be gas coming out the bottom of the tank to carb. When I stop cranking, the gas flows back to the gas can. I took the vacuum out of the car again and there wasn't any gas in it at all. I don't understand how it can suck it in and not fill the chamber up. Also, I noticed that my vacuum tank doesn't resemble the one in the mechanics manual. That one shows an drain outlet and the tube to carb outlet. I only have one outlet. Otherwise it's the same.
  13. Ok... trying to get this thing started for the first time. Engine has good compression, battery turns it over well. Because I didn't clean out the gas tank, I ran gas thru a can. Vacuum tank sucks it in good but I don't see it coming out (used clear lines just to see if it works). I have had the tank out and can hear and feel the float moving. any ideas why gas doesn't come out to carb?
  14. I can get that to you but can you send photos and cost? You can PM me.
  15. I hear about A & B model. Which one do you think I have. and yes, it looks like the shell is (was) nickel.
  16. Saw them. but it doesn't say if for $325 it comes as a set or just one. And that's not including the linoleum. That's way too steep. Again, are they wood, metal. I'm sure I can make them for a 1/3 the price.
  17. Anyone know if I can buy or make these? Were they wood? Metal?
  18. Thanks Tony. right now I'm too far from working on the lock but like to know what I'm in for. With the weather we been having here, I can't even get in the garage to work on getting it started. About the only thing I'm up to is cleaning out the gas tank and radiator! Besides... that honey-do-list is killing me.
  19. Where am I measuring? I'm sure it needs to be measured in several places. If anyone can send me numbers from their car, I would really appreciate it although I would really like an original no matter what condition.
  20. So can I take it to a local locksmith instead? Same for the ignition switch?
  21. Hey PD, Are you saying that we should sent the lock to you to be keyed?
  22. Also add to the fact that my 5 min conversation with him gave me so much info. That alone is worth the price of admission.
  23. Just got off the phone with Tom. Very nice and helpful! I did not know they did this on the side. Hey 30....you should have patience as well for us newbies.
