in Hershey Meet
When you enter HPOF, the owner of the vehicle is asked to disclose any and all modifications/repairs done to the vehicle on their evaluation sheet. If someone doesn't disclose that it has been repainted, i'm not sure if the HPOF judge can question it or not.

That is fantastic!!! Thanks for sharing the article Charlie!

My trucks have never had official "names" but I refer to them as the Burb & the SS as that is what they are. As for the "she" comment, I refer to them as females.
My husband refers to them as "thorns in his side" that he'd like the set a match to lol

Also notice how few over weight people there are.
That's rude to say.

Does anyone have a dash board gauge surround for a 1989 Suburban Silverado? I'm not sure what other years would apply, but I'm sure a pickup would have the same. It's the black & fake wood piece that covers the gauge cluster.
Mine has a couple of cracks and I'd love to have a new one.... and if you have a blue dash pad in good shape, I'd like it too!
Shipping to 27606
Thanks!

It was there in HPOF as usual.... Guess my husband didn't feel like getting another photo of it

My father in law sent us this video he found on YouTube of Hershey 1962.
After watching it, I said to my husband, I wonder how many of these cars are still around today, 55 years later! Are they still going to car shows? Are they sitting in the garage collecting dust? Are they rotting into the ground? Were they (GASP) crushed?!
Makes you wonder....

Yesterday, the Furnitureland Chapter of the AACA hosted the NC Region Fall meet in Spencer NC at the NC Transportation Museum. The weather began a little iffy, but it turned out to be a beautiful day! I've gone to this show 4 years in a row and I don't know who they bribe or pay off, but they ALWAYS have beautiful weather!
Thanks Furnitureland Chapter for another great show!

That car was in great shape and I agree that it's odd seeing it on the show field - like seeing my Burb - but it's great that she has kept it in such nice condition!! Kudos to her for her hard work and efforts

I'll be walking Thurs & Friday with family and friends.... Saturday the Burb will be in HPOF and I'll be Judging that morning
-
I use Meguiar's Tire Foam - not the Hot Shot version that's very shiny - It cleans the tires and leaves a nice clean look.
As for the sidebars... So glad AACA shows don't have the mirrors, trophies, dolls, etc that so many other shows have. It takes away from the vehicle... but gives the non-car people something to look at.

Leaving NC Wed in the PM... be in Hershey Thurs-Sun. Anyone going to the banquet? Best part about it - meeting other members and sharing stories
-
I think it only fair that the meet be cancelled so our PR members can concentrate on getting their lives back in order and not on hosting a huge event.
We were planning on going to this meet, but there just seems to be no way we can expect them to put on a brave face after all they've been through.

A. Congrats on the win!! Very exciting!
B. Sorry for all of the excess "excitement"
C. I need to take my shoes off to count how many times my 454SS has broken down while out of town... someday my husband will make good on his promise of lighting it on fire! lol
