  1. This was my first time at the Meeting and enjoyed myself very much!  I was able to attend many seminars throughout Friday & Saturday.  I walked through the Trade Show, but thought it was rather small with few vendors.  I think it's wonderful the AACA has the hospitality area with bagels and muffins, but I would love to see a healthier option for breakfast - maybe some fresh fruit, or fruit salad to go along with the high-carb/calorie foods.  Lastly the cost of the banquet dinner and the President's dinner was exceedingly high IMHO for what was served.  I was a guest for the President's dinner and didn't go to the Banquet due to the high cost.

It was great to see some old friends, put a face to the names to some others, and meet new friends.  :)

Congratulations to all of the National Award winners!!!

  2. John, I lived in NY for 33 years.   Seen my share of very cold temps, snow.  Now living in the south, I experience ice that isn't in my glass. I didn't like the cold then and I like it even less now.  I'm one of those "cold-natured" people.  There is no one on this planet that will ever convince me to "like" the cold.  Ever.  Besides, I've seen Philly before, this isn't my first visit there, just to the AACA meeting.

    Hello Matt,

Thank you for the courtesy of the reply to my question.

The Cosworth is in showroom condition - so I shall choose the 27K class.

    Merry Christmas to you!

Just wondering if you're in VA? I think I judged this beautiful car this year at your local Chapter show :)

  4. What great finds you all have had!  Makes this girl jealous!  Then again, I need to go to some antique shops before I start to complain about what I've NOT found ;)

However, on one of my estate sale weekends, I came across one that the owner used to recondition license plates!  Unfortunately, my time was limited, so I couldn't spend too much time rummaging through ALL. THE. STUFF!!!  But... I found a 1941 NC license plate that was really rough, but beautiful - gave that to my brother in law for his 1941 Packard collection.  I also found a primered 1965 NC license plate.  brought it home and painted it for my father in law, for his 1965 Econoline pickup :)

Like old cars, I love old stuff!!!  You can't beat the quality and the beauty :)
