Even with the rain, MANY people walked by and admired the vehicles. It was very moving to see so many people out in the rain to get a good look

Great photos!! Although no one got photos of my truck cause it was still dark and rainy at 7am lol My first time entering and I was excited to get onto the field lol
-
I entered Hershey for the first time this year and had a GREAT time both at the show, the cocktail hour and then banquet! We met some fantastic people and look forward to many more years
-
I also plan on going to the VA meet. Look forward to it since we went to Hershey this weekend and had a great time
-
Thanks Steve! I called and got confirmation that I am registered. Thanks!
-
I'm sure I did that.

This is my first year showing, but my father in law has been a spectator at Hershey for over 30 years and I can't wait for him to ride in with me and my husband and brother in law onto the show field in my Suburban
-
Will we receive any paperwork prior to the show? This is my first year showing and I haven't gotten anything in the mail yet (PS: My check was cashed )

Congrats John! What kind of vehicle?
-
Awesome! Thanks again - we're really looking forward to the "full Hershey experience" as my brother in law has put it
-
One last question - this isn't a formal banquet, right? Gowns, suits and ties aren't required - hopes my husband and brother-in-law

We're gonna go and do the whole shebang! Thanks again for the replies
-
Without the people, there would be no hobby! Thanks for replying Kevin

You make a VERY valid point! Thank you for taking the time to explain what we could be missing. While reading your post to my husband, he nodded in agreement at your opinion Thanks so much and we have some thinking to do lol

Thanks John - Appreciate another point of view.
-
Thanks! Think that's what we might do since there are a few in our group who would rather eat elsewhere

This is my first time showing at Hershey and I think we are going to try entering the HPOF class. How many people go to the Saturday night Banquet? If my truck is certified in HPOF, do I pick that up at the banquet? Is it possible to go after the dinner to pick it up?
Thanks!

Is Roger here on the forums frequently? I sent him a private message and haven't heard back yet.
-
Cool.
-
Thanks Matthew BTW, do you go every year?
-
Thanks for the clarification. The original owner had the front end and the barn doors repainted, so HPOF would not be an option. Appreciate your time

My husband and I are debating which class to enter - HPOF or DPC. I've read the Judging Guidelines and it looks like we could be in either class.
I'm the 2nd owner of a 89 Suburban which the original owner had all of the work done at a dealership and is all documented. While we think we could enter HPOF, what happens when we get to Hershey and they say no, it shouldn't be in this class. Can we put the truck in DPC or what happens? Will they change us or do we not get judged?
Just trying to see what to expect.

Thank you!

AnniesSS,
You might want to get a copy of the AACA judging manual to review the DPC class, and make sure you may or may not want HPOF class.
John
Where can I find this?
Look for registration for Fall Hershey to become available somewhere around July 1st. I will warn you--once you go, you WILL be coming back every year from then on!! It is truly the greatest car show on Earth...Like I said, my father in law has been going for over 40 years as a spectator.... Being hooked on this show won't be a bad thing in our family
Spencer NC Show this weekend?

Is anyone planning on attending? I'll be driving out from Raleigh by myself. Hope to meet some others
