  1. I really did it tonight. I got my 1991 Reatta two days ago. Tonight I pushed in the parking (or head light?) button and both buttons fell within the dash. And, the instrumentation below them ceased to function...So, I couldn't get the lights off. After fumbling around trying to retrieve the two buttons, and wondering how to get within the dash to correct the problem (contemplating what parts I might need, what their availability might be, and how to access the area in which to work), I concluded I would be unable to turn off the lights. Going to the owners manual, I learned where the fuses were, seeking a means to cut the power to the lights to save the battery... BUT, I could not determine from the information provided which fuse controlled the parking and head lights, both of which remained on with no switch to turn them off. I pulled every fuse and the black plug-in boxes (circuit breakers?) in the box on the passenger side of the console. Despite this, (and much to my amazement) the parking and head lights remained on. So, I pulled the ground cable on the battery to stop the power drain created by the lights. Now, as a novice, I need to know what parts I need to make the lights operational, where to get the parts, and how to access the space to install the parts. HELP!!!
  2. I understand the ninth identifyer is supposed to be the year and tenth is plant (M=Lansing)...But, mine (9th) is "2" and my Reatta is a 1991. Can some one explain this? Is a "2" a late model 1991? The complete VIN is: 1G4EC13L2MB900039 Thanks. Charlie
  3. Got it! It is a one owner and always garaged. A beautiful car.
  4. Too bad guys. It is mine. I drove down from the Seattle Area and brought it home yesterday, 1/28/2013). I joined the forum today and will be seeking advice on minor fixes that need to be made. The trunk appears to have never been open, but the headliner is loose and the car has the usual headlight problem. I would like suggestions as to where I should purchase the repair kit. This vehicle was well worth the price (LESS THAN $3600), and I look forward to many years use. In fact, I would consider buying another, but it would have to be a 1991.
  5. FYI: As of yesterday (1/29/2013), I am the proud owner of the earlier 1991, white over red, Reatta that wa for sale in Scapoose, OR. It has 71,000 one owner miles and the trunk is flawless. I look forward to being a member of the forum. Charlie Tukwila, WA
