  6. Will pull the radiator shell and the one of two transmissions I can move easy for a better look next week. There are two blocks, both 6 cly. All seems to be mopar related. harold
  7. I appreciate all the brain trust out there. Harold
  8. Doing the guilty by association rule. I found the foot board with serial number 879913 (23 Dodge) very close to this. The radiator housing, wooden wheel and transmission appear to be same vintage. Harold
  9. 1930 plus Art Deco cigarette holder and lighter. Its as I found it. No dent dings, Holder for steering wheel is broken and early wire is frayed. Needs restoration and a new home. Workmenship is first class. Mechanism works fine, not tested heating element. 75.00$ and the ride. I can see by the outside more than one cigarette was lite. PM or e-mail. Harold
  10. Pair of doors in decent shape if you don't have any, great shape for where they were stored. Not shown is a hole on top for locking the doors. Appreciate the help. Harold
  11. Thanks thats neat. I saved it now it needs a new home. Harold
  12. What time period was this Cigarette dispenser? Assuming I have correctly identified this item. The workmanship is beautiful and well made. The connection to the steering column leaves much room for improvement. Looks like it dispensed a cigarette and lite it.
  13. Larger tank is 20.4. I think I got one at Fall Carlisle, they are around. In the Plymouth Bulletin they sell gas tank nuts and collectors supply has straps for 60. Harold
  14. Page from all MOPAR published 1937 and Plymouth only 1929 to 1939 parts.published 1939. I do see mopar part # 692367 appearing as part of a tank package for P3/4/5/6/7. I see prices as low as 60 dollars for straps. A permanent google search for Mopar numbers will get results someday. A lot of folks list Mopar and numbers. They have no clue what they fit. mopar 370001.pdf, mopar straps0001.pdf, mopar tank0001.pdf.
  15. Be sure you use a rubber damping material. no metal to metal contact. Local farm supply stores carry a farm combine belt repair material in different widths. Works perfectly. harold
  16. I'll pass on a swap. The straps are really two piece, the top piece (That attaches to frame) seems to be the same for both versions. The bottom simpler piece is in your case too long. They seem to be for special 20.4 gallon tank (#673420). part # 692367 is an assembly for smaller/normal tank (TOP and bottom). That number # was not used in 37. A 20.4 tank was special equipment for P3/4, D5/6/7 S3, C14/16 In 1937 . I assume the same for 38.
  17. Brand new /you installed or original on car?
  18. I have one very similar ID by this group, look for the old thread. Was a Dodge truck.
  19. Sorry for confusion. I have a complete old strap regular for normal OEM tank that is usable cleaned up. I had the top half of the same set that is usable and you will need to fabricate bottom/easy job. Both are yours for the ride. They came off 37 in drive. When you mentioned in PM you have the oversize strap set, light bulb went on in head. I have a regular new tank and straps for 37 coupe one day (set aside) and the oversize tank and another set of straps that are regular size. (All brand new) They will not fit the bigger tank I assume, so one new set will be excess to my needs. I tried to put bigger tank in my driver, but had a strap problem. Not big enough, So I took the easy road. Reg tank and straps. This driver goes as soon as the bus coupe is road worthy. Another year or so. Harold 703-231-30 three one
  20. I checked in the garage and I also had saved the other strap. The bottom strap had rusted away, but top is salvageable. The bottom part would be easy to fabricate. Almost a plain strap. Both old straps are yours for the ride. I will also sell you one of my remaining new pairs for a 100 dollars and I catch the ride. I in fact can use your oversize straps on the bigger tank. Harold
  21. I purchased three sets, some time ago. I used one set (and a gas tank) on the 37 four door in the drive. (I have three 37s) One old strap was salvageable. New straps have to be bent a little. I will send you the old strap for postage. It matches the new perfectly, after they are bent. And yes there seem to be two sizes of tanks. I have one of each on the shelf now. Harold
