  2. I have a 1936 Pontiac Deluxe 8 listed on here. It has Suicide doors on the back. 4 door
  3. Here is a 1936 Pontiac Deluxe 8. Car runs and drives. It is a driver not a show car. The car had an older restoration in the early 80's done to it. You can drive it like it is or fix it up. I have a spare set of original rims for the car also. 7k or b/o. Trades...show me something interesting. No bikes wife says no way. Cars/trucks email me your offer you won't offend me.
  4. Please quit HOGGIN the road. What happens on the farm stays on the farm
  5. I don't know if this helps you but I picked up a 1936 Pontiac Deluxe 8 last year for just about 5 grand. It was in running and drivable condition. The wood needs help and so does the paint. Makes a great Gangster car and weekend driver. New glass maybe this summer if not for sure next. As for the paint...It needs to have the rust spots looked at. Then the chrome done. Wife wants me to redo the chrome in copper then cleared and then do an oldschool paint job on it. Nothing special. On the cheap. Good luck with yours. I love the car.
  6. Ok for us Novice in this hobby. Car 1936 Pontiac Deluxe 8 What's the difference between a NOS rebuild kit and an almost NOS Kit for Ethenol? What else do I need to concern myself about with Ethenol amounts growing in gas? Who does the rebuilding? and Where?
  7. still being new...where do I look to find the guys that can help out with the rebuild. My appreciation is greatly appreciated.
  8. With the snow flying in upstate NY. Opened up the garage. 1 pump of the pedal and fired up the 1936 Pontiac Deluxe 8. Let her get up to temperature. Then quietly tucked her back away for a couple more months before this white stuff finally goes for the season. Soon to take the carb off and rebuild it with a NOS kit. Hoping it is as easy as they say.
  9. I took my 1936 Pontiac out for a Sunday drive. Who would of thought it would be in the 60's in November in New York. Definately an advantage to having your car in your garage and not stored somewhere else.
  10. These new good year suction tires work great. I wish my blinker was on so everyone would know I was going around the world to the left.
  11. Hey bubba... Yes Jethro... Put your beer down and come look at this... is it level bubba Bubba says..hold on turn it a little more to the right..a little more... Perfect...bubba says Thanks bubba Your welcome jethro
  12. Well went and took the old girl out for a ride. Battery was dead. I don't know how old it is so I am guessing it just went bad. I had lots of people want to help me and jump my car but I said no thanks. Not knowing if a 12V jump would hurt the 6V system. When looking for a replacement 6V for my original 36 Pontiac what do I get? Do I look for a battery with the most cranking amps. I found one that has around 1000 cca. I have been told at local parts stores the best they have are 600 cca.. Will a higher CCa hurt the electronics. Help would be greatly appreciated.
  13. swing low sweet car-port of mine. Or the leaning tower of Mobil
  14. My 9 year old daughter asked a great question. Sitting in my 93 civic she noticed something that wasn't in the 2005 trailblazer. She asked what it was. I told her it was a cigarette lighter. So she asked where the one in the 1936 pontiac was. It had an ashtray but no lighter. So comes the question...when was the first lighter put into factory cars?
  15. What to use to keep the battery topped off during the long winter month. Do I just put the battery on a charge with the 6v charger once a month? How long do I put the charger on for? Is there something better to use?
  16. Do I still do the cardboard and plastic under the car if it has a dirt non heated storage area? I heard that if you place newspapers around the car that also helps.
  17. What do I do when I need to remove the radiator to get it fixed??
  18. For those living up north that have to put the cars away for the white stuff what do you do? This is my first year with a car and would like to know how you put your car to bed for the long winter nap?? How to store it properly? What to put in the interior to stop any Critters entering? What to put in the fuel? Do you top off the fuel? Do you remove the battery or just put it on trickle charge?
  19. Doing research on my 1936 Pontiac the second tail light was an option. So it has to be sometime after that.
  20. And they say smart cars are small.
  21. if your speaking of the item that sets on the dash so you can look up at the street lights there are a bunch of them on ebay
  22. keep ckin ebay I have seen them jumping up every once in a while...ck what years are the same on the car. I have a 1936 without the radio also. Someone put a radio in the glove box...soon to be removed along with the ugly speakers. I have seen original radios for bucks. I think I am just going to be putting in a couple hidden speakers hooked up to an I-pod stashed away under the dash.
  23. did you ck ebay for a radio delete plate?
