  1. Hello Mini, Thanks for the great information! Much appreciated!
  2. Interesting older thread! So is the thick part of the wedge to front or rear of the vehicle?
  3. I have not had any response. I would certainly appreciate any measurement you can provide. Thanks so much! Dale
  4. Does anyone have any literature from the Omaha Top Company? Apparently, they were one of the suppliers for the touring and roadster tops for the Dodge Brothers vehicles. I am trying to research the correct measurements for a 15 touring. Thanks so much!✔️
  5. I am looking for information to confirm the correct measurements for a 1915 Dodge Brothers Touring car top bows. Assuming bow # 1 is nearest to the windshield, #2 second from the windshield, #3 third from the windshield, #4 fourth from the windshield. Radius in inches Internal dimension in inches Bow #1 Bow #2 Bow #3 Bow #4 I purchased a set of 4 steam bent bows that are the below dimensions. Radius in inches Internal dimension in inches Bow # ? 6” 57” Bow # ? 6” 56” Bow # ? 6” 56” Bow # ? 8” 56” I look forward to all comments and information. Thanks so much in advance! Dale

  7. I am looking to purchase a brake light switch for a 1929 Dodge Brothers Victory 6. If you happen to have one you would like to part with please contact me. Thanks so much! Dale
  8. I believe the bolt is either 1/2" or 9/16", fine thread, 18 threads per inch. I am not certain of the grade. They are original wheel lug bolts that appear to be in excellent condition. Your link provides great information. Thanks so much! Based on your link it appears 122 to 172 would be acceptable. I prefer to yield to caution and possibly torque to a max of 90, as suggested, and check them regularly.
  9. Thanks for the comments. Keiser, they are similar to the photos you show. Do you feel 90 lbs would be reasonable as Zeke suggested?
  10. Does anyone know the correct torque to apply to the Dodge Brothers Vixtory 6 wire wheel lug nuts. I cannot seem to find a spec. anywhere. Thanks in advance. Dale
  11. Thanks for your suggestions I appreciate it.

  15. Quote from above: "I know what my father in law would have done. He would have added 'rad weld' or 'Bars leaks' to the coolant and stopped up any leaks from inside. The problem with that stuff is it can block up your radiator and that is something I am not prepared to risk." Hello Ray, I was advised by a technician/mechanic who worked in the Harrah's restoration shop for many years that they would always by pass the radiator during the process of using a block sealer. He also indicated that sodium silicate provided excellent results. As well, youtube has some wonderful video on metal stitching. Searching "lock n stitch" on youtube will list a number of very informative videos. Best of luck on your repair. DCE
  16. Hello fellow DB enthusiasts, I am looking for a glove compartment key for a 1915 Dodge Brothers Touring Car. I understand there may be a 10 or so different keys & locks so I am prepared to purchase or make a key for each lock if required. This project could provide a resource for all those looking for a key as well. Please contact me if you have a key for sale or if you would care to share a tracing of your key. Thanks so much! 17. Just enquiring from the experts out here in the Buick forum how common are the 1919 H44 Roadsters. Did Buick manufacture more than one style of roadster in 1919? Were the 6 cylinder Buicks a reliable and well built vehicle? Thanks for your comments.
  18. Hi Bob, The original tubes consisted of two gauges of steel rolled together and joined with a seam. They appear to interlock with each other. When you observe the top tubes from the view where the wooden bows enter the tubes you should see the dual layers. Your sockets look very nice. Are the tubes totally new? Thanks Dale
  19. Hi Bob, Do you remember if John uses 2 layers of metal when he rebuilds the sockets? When completed do they look like the originals? Thanks Dale
  20. Thanks Mike .... I have heard of John in the past. Does anyone else have experience with the final product from the above business?
  21. I am in the process of restoring a touring top for a Dodge Brothers car. I believe the top sockets should be rebuilt. Does anyone know of any vendors that provide this service? Thanks in advance for your comments. Thanks, Dale
  22. Would you mind posting the link for this vehicle. Thanks in advance.
