  1. Thanks for your reply. Good to know the parts are all stock. I was beginning to wonder if my Grandfather got creative and somehow swapped wheel drums and wheels.
  2. Thanks for the info. The first thread states a Century wheel as 5x 5 bolt pattern. I had a more 5 x 5 GM wheel and tire that I was using to check tire clearance and I found the bolt pattern on my 37 Roadmaster has a larger diameter. I have a template to measure bolt patterns and meaures 5 x 5.5 bolt diameter. This was pretty confusing to me because I had expected it to have a 5 x 5. 1) Does anyone else have a simular year Roadmaster and know if 5 x 5.5 was stock bolt pattern. 2) Deos anyone know if the Roadmaster wheels should fit on a Century? Thanks
  3. Appears that my 1937 Buick Roadmaster has 5 x 5.5 bolt pattern. Can someone tell me if this is the correct bolt pattern for a 1937 Buick Roadmaster? Thanks
  4. I'm resurecting this thread because this information would still be very helpful information in finding repair parts. The measurement should be at the bottom of the door So far we have: Model Length bottom front door Length bottom back door 1936 Model 40 & 41 34 1/2 16 1/8 1937 Model 40 & 41 1936 Model 80 & 81 1937 Model 80 & 81 38 21 5/8 1936 Model 90 & 91 1937 Model 90 & 91 Thanks for your help
  5. Thanks Marty for your help. Yes the other pictures are helpful as well. Interesting that the door panels in your pictures show two rectangular shapes which is like cloth Roadmaster panels. This is different than the 38 Century pictures Grandpa posted that show four horizontal lines across the top. 1) Does anyone know if door panels Roadmasters with leather interior always had the two rectangular shapes, or did they vary? Thanks
  6. Thanks for the information. I agree it is very cool.
  7. Thanks for the info on headliners. Does anyone know if these pictures of a leather interior in a 38 Roadmaster convertable are factory correct. They are certainly fancier than the picture Grandpa provided. Thanks
  8. Can anyone tell me if this car is an original 1938 Buick color? If so, can you tell me what color code, or name, it is? Thanks Mutt
  9. Thanks for the pictures. Do you know if Roadmaster interior would be similar? Do you know if the headliner in a leather seat car was leather or cloth? Thanks
  10. Does anyone have period correct pictures of leather seats from a 1937 Buick. Is there a source for the color of the grey leather that was offered. The model I'm restoring is a 37 Roadmaster, but any model from 37 may be helpful. Thanks Mutt
  11. I have sold this engine and transmission. The one 42buickman has sounds like pretty good deal to me. Thanks, Mutt
  12. I'm looking for a for source for 185/80-R15 tires. These do not seem to be available in the U.S. but are readily availble in Europe and perhaps Canada. Does anyone know of a supplier who would ship two of these tires to the U.S.? Thanks
  13. Thanks for the feedback. Trailer fenders are cheap and many sizes available so should be able to find a good fit for replacing the rust in the bottom or my sidemount fenders.
  14. I'm repairing rust on my 37 Roadmaster. Been looking for replacement panels for the bottom of the sidemount wells. Does anyone know the source of the replacement panel Precision Restoration shop used in 2011 to repair a 38 Special? Thanks
  15. I have been told that I can interchange of trunk lid between a 37 Roadmaster and 36 Century. Could someone with a Hollanders please verify this for me? Thanks
  16. Hi Frank, That would be great if you have that information. Tires I'm considering are 195/80R15, 205/75R15, and 205/70R16. Thanks
  17. Radials are same price if not cheaper so think I may as well do radials on all six tires so I can rotate them. Mutt
  18. Since I'm planning on driving my car almost daily, I would like to use radial tires. Has anyone else done this on their '37 or '38 Roadmaster and what width tires would fit in the side mount wheel wells? Thanks
  19. 1) Is oldbuickparts.com the best place to buy the 5/16 cage nuts used to attach fenders to a 37 Buick ($1.75 each). 2) My car had 5/16 studs and 3/8 studs with hex nuts used in some of the locations to mount the front fenders and front fender bracket. The 3/8 stud was fine thread on one half & course on the other. I assume these studs are used to aid in assembly when hanging the fenders. Can anyone tell me if these studs are typical original assy, or is it likely this fender was replaced? 3) Can anyone tell me where to buy these studs. 4) oldbuickparts.com lists "fender washers" and "fender star washers". Can anyone tell me what the differenct is and which was original? Thanks
  20. I'm looking for the following parts for a 1937 Buick Roadmaster: 1) one SS trim that goes around a sidemount cover and 2) one SS trim that is on outside edge of the running board 3) one ss trim that goes down the middle of the hood Please let me know if you have any of these parts for sale. Thanks
  21. Thanks Danny and jenz38 for your help. This information is just what I need.
