  1. I am looking for the metal blade for a1936 dodge windshield crank dose anyone have a source or a extra blade I do have the crank and handle
  2. The bucket has surface rust and my body guy tells me that the rust will creep from the ring if we dont refinish the whole bucket

Ive watched auctions and all the 39- 40 packard Ive seen have gone for over 135,000 The woodies have held their value 1939 fords that were selling for 120-135 thousand are now selling from 68 to 90 depending on condition People that collect theise cars want original cars google Nick alexander woody auction that was last year and all his were over 100 G he had some sports man's go for over 200 G . A 1939 barn find complete but not running sold for 89,000 6 months ago
  5. Pretty much just go on line search the year and the car and see what is out their. I know Ive studied the 1939 - 1940 Packard bodies for my project and i do belive their the best Hercules did most of theise.The good thing is the original seem to bring more and people tend to want the fords to hot rod but an original good Packard from what ive seen is about 100- 180 thousand

I have a 1936 dodge im rebuilding I received the car as an unfinished project and was wondering if it was the right motor I have another 1936 original car and the thermostat housing is different the one on the project comes up straight where all 1936"s that ive seen have a slight slant . The number under the started and on the block is 6333289-6 the number on the top left of the block just before the head id D-223942 can anyone help ?

Im getting ready to just test run my 1936 its a body off restoration I have 2 coils one that is still connected to the intion and i have an extra that has the back off of ,their is 1 screw in the center , how do i connect this to bie pass the ignition switch just to get it to run ? the screw in the center has an insulator tab under it do i just ground it out to the side of the coil that is grounded to the frame , this is a positive ground car ?
  11. NOTICE !!!!!!!!!!! EVERY ONE OF YOU ARE WRONG The flat head six has a heat deflector that mounts to the manafold and to the top of the fule pump , with out this deflector it will not run when it hits 160 % for 10 mins and in a hot summer , I live in texas and I reaclenty purchesed a D2 that runs like a sewing machine from a cople in Iwoa , summer time came and it was the damdest thing u could set your watch by it . I was shure it was vapor lock and wraped teh fule line still dident work then i saw a pic of a complety restoration and BINGO their it was so I tryed just a pice of flashing jamed in their just to see ........NO MORE PROBLEMS YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I know this post is a few years late but it might help outhers

  13. have you tried using alot of choice words throwing your keys down wondering if God hates me wile sitting on the running board and crying , I currently have the same problem on a beautiful 1936 dodge d2. That's what i do but im thinking Jan Anett seem to make the most sense
