  1. that reminds me. I need to take out that cheap KRACO AM/FM cassette out of my 68 Chevy wagon and replace it with a standard a.m. radio that I took out of another Chevy many decades ago. But first I should get it modified at least to plug my iPhone into… (or maybe use one of those Bluetooth adapters.)

  2. i have a somewhat similar issue with the left rear damage to my 41 cad. it does take time for us newbie collision repair guys. (at least i received a nice check from the other insurance company.)

a kid lost control of his car, spun 180 degrees, hit the little industrial truck in nose, pushing it back 12 feet into my cad.

  3. i haven’t done this second idea yet…MAYBE if your car doesn’t have separate brake lights you could do a similar effect on the rear brake lights with a switched fused power wire (from a ‘always on’ source) going to a flasher then to the stop light switch terminal going to  the turn signal switch…  (i should try this idea out to see if it works ok…) or just do the idea as posted by wayne R…

  4. forty years ago i did 4way emergency flashers on my 52 buick by a simple rewire of the turn signals power. place a fused power wire to the flasher direct from a always hot terminal. (disconnect the stock turn signal flasher power wire from the ignition switch.) then hook a simple single switch between the left side and the right side. really simple on the 52 because the brake lights were separate. with that switch ‘on’ both left and right were hooked together. and with the turn signal lever placed in either left or right position… both turn indicators would flash together showing all front and rear turn signal lights were flashing… even if the ignition was off.

  5. soon… when i get my 41 cad sedan interior redone….  i’ll just take it to tijuana. instead of ‘tuck n roll’ i’ll just ask them to use the modern grey cloth (seems to last a long time now ) and try to keep to the original pattern. i ain’t gonna restore this driver. just make it comfortable and reliable… and cheap.

my $50.oo ‘52. I bought it in 1975. no engine no transmission no radiator… and no sense. had a lot of fun with it though… it even was our family car for a while… drove it all over the Southwest. and it was a workhorse. towed the travel trailer and a lotta stuff when we moved…  Sold it shortly after this picture and a local restaurant put a paint job on it and parks it out in front.

  7. after i got my 1923 model 35 4 cylinder home… over twenty years ago after driving it from an auction in scottsdale. about a twenty mile drive with constant refilling the one quart float tank on the firewall. the top portion of the assembly was missing after the auction.

i sold the car lately in the last year. didn’t drive it much… (kinda miss it…)

    picture of a picture.
