one of my best memories is running with a bunch of vintage Ferraris Porsches Jaguars Mercedes across the carefree highway above Phoenix (all from the 50s 60s and 70s.)

thank you all for your tips. i just now tried 'disolve it' with no sucess. i will try the hand cleaner.
update: tried the hand cleaner on the black wheel in the suburban. some success but it's a tedious process.

i've got a 73 suburban and also a 75 Chevy Monza both with the same issue with nasty sticky goo covering the stock black steering wheels that are otherwise in very nice shape. obviously some kind of deterioration of the steering wheel material. with organic cleaner I can get some of it off but gosh what a Lotta work. is there an easier way?

at my Kingman house every morning a fire department Dodge pick up truck with a utility body drives by... sounds so good and I'm sure it's bone stock V-8...

i am suffering from lack of enthusiasm to go thru the hassle of advertising my imperfect cars and project cars... finally i listed my 40 la salle sun roof 4dr sedan project car on craigs list and the only interest generated was by a scammer that wanted me to send $900 to his 'transportation broker' before purchase funds would be 'released' by pay pal...beware of adamjohnson5255@gmail.com.

nice job!! if it were mine the taillights would be smaller and maybe oval. and below the trunk area would be hidden. but overall... nice!!!

chevy should build the small cars, suburban, tahoe, pickup and corvette. buick should build the midsize and cadillac the large cars and escalade.

back in the early 70s I bought a '56 vette for $200. I was also considering a '56 bird...but it was $600. (shudda bought and kept both...)

in 1974 the gas crunch and insurance killed the value of my '68 Buick gran sport 400 conv. 4speed a/c. finally sold it for $275.... (ouch!). should have put it in a barn.

You must remember... Starsky and Hutch and gone in 60 seconds is fiction. and music... elvis and the Beach boys until 1964 and then the British invasion starting with the Rolling Stones and the Beatles. (I grew up in the Los Angeles area back in the 50s and 60s.)
