  1. Thanks..... I think the bumper guards are an aftermarket "universal" item. They're definitely not a genuine Chevrolet accessory. There is also a possibility that the bumper itself is something other than Chevy. Some other makes were also using a single-bar convex faced bumper in the early '30s. That said, it does look pretty much identical to the ones on my '32 Chevys. All the Best, Chip
  2. Looks like a '32 Chevy front bumper that someone has modified by adding the four (homemade?) bumper guards and cutting the mounting bar. Photo attached. All the Best, Chip
  3. I just noticed that the request form says that their records only go up to 1967. I would say to give it a try anyway. They are very helpful people. All the Best, Chip
  4. Chrysler, now "Stellantis", will provide the original build sheet and the name of the selling dealer for your car at no charge. That might give you a lead as to the original owner if the dealer is still in business and wants to help. The office you need is Stellantis Historical Services. You can contact them at danielle.szostak@stellantis.com The form to send them is here: https://www.chryslerclub.org/PDF files/Chrysler_Historical_Build_Record_Request.pdf Good luck with it!
  5. Sorry, but no hoods are left. They do show up on eBay occasionally. All the Best, Chip
  6. I'm afraid not...they've been sold. Hope you find them! WLB
  7. BTTT I've found nearly everything I needed, but am still looking for one item for my 1950 Town & Country: Part # Description Remarks 1254609 STRAINER, HINGE Transverse brace for underside of hood at hinges This same part was also used in the Desoto S14, and in all 1950 Chryslers....... It's basically a stiffener that runs across the underside of the hood from one hinge to the other. Thanks in advance for any help...... All the Best, Chip
  8. It's a '32 Chevy Deluxe Coach. Nice photo!
  9. Sorry, but both of those items were sold. All the Best, WLB
  10. Problem solved! It turns out that new breakers like these are available from Bussmann and sold on Amazon. They're available in 10 amp and 30 amp which will do just fine. I'll just replace the ones I can't differentiate. New breakers are a good idea anyway. All the Best, Chip
  11. I'm replacing the entire wiring harness in my '50 Chrysler Town & Country. I can't remember which of the two circuit breakers behind the dash is the 8 amp one (serving windshield wipers, backup lights, etc) and which is the 30 amp (serving headlights, tail lights, parking lights and interior lights). I took a ton of pictures before starting the job, but somehow missed that one. The two breakers are identical in size and terminal configuration and they have no markings except the upper one has "85" cast into the phenolic insulator between the two terminals and "SELF CLOSING" stamped in the side of the steel case. The lower one is blank. Can someone please have a look under their dash and tell me which one is which? Thanks in advance. All the Best, Chip
  12. I will send you a PM once I check. All the Best, Chip
  13. This car is listed on Facebook. I went to have a look and think it's a great candidate to complete the restoration. I'm just too, too busy to take it on. The price seems fair, and I know the guy who is selling it for the family of the deceased owner -- honest people. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/565975981920030/?

  15. Sorry, but I sold the last set of '29-'31 Chevy open car windshield posts in January. BUT I'll be in Hershey in October with a ton (literally) of '29-'32 Chevy parts. All the Best, Chip
  16. That one is a replacement. The original outside door handles on all of the Chevy roadsters and phaetons from 1929 to 1931 were the same and were a "T" handle, very plain, with both arms of the T the same length. Picture attached. All the Best, Chip
  17. Sorry, but I can't help on your GMC truck. All the Best, Chip
  18. Art, I will check today and give you a call. I know that I don't have the hood you need, but I'm not sure about the windshield posts. All the Best, Chip
