These carburetors On The Underside Had Several Small (maybe 1/8 To 3/16 Holes Drilled In Them From The Factory, And Were Packed With lead Plugs. It Was Common For Them To Leak with aging. Remove Carb And Turn Upside down On Workbench And With Small Nailset ,Reseat Them , Let Carb Dry Completely ,Then Coat Them Lightly With "J B Weld". Let Dry & Reinstall Carb. ONE Is Directly AboveThe Well In Intake That You Speak Of.Rub Your Finger Under Carb Directly Above The Spot Where Your Leak Is, AndI Bet You Find Gas There.LARRY P.S. If Not RETIGHTEN GAS LINE.
