  1. first of all i always thought marcks prices were too high.his site was always a great place to get something if you needed it and couldn't find it elsewhere.i suggested more than once marck should be the one to make a bulk purchase to woo a strut manufacturer to make more struts.im glad he did though my reattas totalled.two thoughts....i don't know how much marck is paying for these struts that rockauto is selling for 61 dollars.and two.the rockauto struts may just be some old stock found in a ware house somewhere.

West Coast Fieros caters to the Fiero community and I'm not sure if any kits they sell will work for a Reatta swap unless it is specifically noted on their website.

The only mount brackets that need to be modified to get the Series 2/3 engine to work in a Reatta is the A/C compressor mount (modifications shown above) and the dog-bone mount (also shown above).

this is to swap a 1989  reatta engine and transmission into a 1987 2.5 automatic fiero.the reatta is wrecked.

I am always willing to share information, if asked 🙂.  As previously mentioned, 1995-older 3800 Series 1 engines (including the Series 1 Supercharged) are the same physical size (heads and block) as the stock 3800 engines that came in the Reatta.  So the stock Reatta mounts will work on a Series 1 SC engine without modification.

3800 Series 2 (1995-up) and Series 3 (2004-up) engines are nearly identical to each other; but differ greatly from previous generations of the 3800.  The Series 2/3 engine blocks have a 1 inch shorter deck height which makes the engine both shorter and narrower - this impacts any mounts that bolt to the cylinder head and upper block areas.  The stock Reatta A/C compressor mount bracket is impacted by this, but can be easily modified to work on a Series 2/3 engine as shown in the attached pictures.

Since the Reatta uses an upper dog-bone mount on the driver's side of the front cylinder head, this will need to be modified as well so it will work on a Series 2/3 engine.  I have attached a picture of this modified mount to this post as well.  Basically, you need to modify it by increasing its height up away from the Series 2/3 block's deck by about 1 inch to put it in the same position as it was on the stock engine.

i didn't know to ask you.west coast fiero has a kit 3800 Series I Mount and Bracket Kit (AUTO) | Fiero Brakes, Fiero performance, Fiero exhaust, Fiero parts, LS1 (westcoastfiero.com) that should work i clicked the 'contact us'tab to ask them for sure if this kit would work with my 1989 3.8 and transmission but they didn't bother to answer.

  4. one thing these 3800 swappers never tell you is if the reatta engine and trans mounts will  fit the series two engines.im trying to buy a 1987 fiero[four cylinder/auto]to swap my engine and trans into.the kits to swap the 3800s never say if they will work on my 1989 engine and trans too.

  5. the thing i don't like about fb marketplace is that you can't search for certain year cars.also they throw other cars into the search findings.if im searching for a 2005-9 mustang i don't want to see 2003 mustangs, camaros,or challangers.
