Bill Stoneberg
So my idiot light on my 64 Riviera has quit, either that or I have no oil pressure. So I thought I would find the sender and hook real guage instead. But I can't for the life of me find the sender. Its a 425 Nailhead....Anyone have a clue on where ot look ?Thanks
RivNut
It's on the bellhousing at the rear of the block below the head on the passenger side. It will take a large deep socket to get it off - I think it takes a 1-1/8". Be careful when you take it off that you don't knock a bunch of grud down the hole that you'll expose when you take the old one out and try to put the new one in. Get the area as clean as possible before removing the old one.
Lapham3
The senders take a 1 1/16". It might be a good time to plumb a gauge in there and see what the pressure really is-good luck
