Garry Potter
Is it possible to add a starter to a 1908 Cadillac. If so, who does this type of work Thanks Garry
edinmass
People install a flat belt starter/generator with a small gel cell battery off a small diesel lawnmower. Easy, not too much wiring, and no modifications to the flywheel. A good shop is not too hard to find, but they are all busy. It would probably run less than three grand, for a very nice job. You may have to wait a long time to get a slot in a good shop. I would only recommend a shop that is VERY familiar with early brass cars. Too many hacks out there that think everything is easy. It's not worth ruining you car.
