jpage
Looking for a front left brake drum/hub for a 1938 Plymouth sedan. Must be in usable condition and within brake specs. Unit has the riveted hub and uses wheel bolts. I'm told they are right hand thread. Any help will be appreciated. This is an update on the previous request after finding out that the car is a Plymouth not Dodge. Thanks.
keiser31
Left side lug bolts should be left-hand thread. Right side, right-hand thread.
jpage
Yeah, I told that to the fellow looking but I don't think they know much about the cars. I'm not sure that it would matter what thread was on the bolts, almost all nuts are right hand thread today, but he needs a drum so badly I think he'll use whatever he can get. There are a couple on e-bay but he doesn't have the money to put the sellers kids through college! I can't believe what these guys ask for stuff. Somebody has a set of very "rare" horn covers for a '36 Dodge at over $800. to start. I have several sets, gee I could retire! Guest
Jim, do you know if 1939 drums are the same? nwclassic is still running his post here for parting out a '39 sedan. Greg
