geniv
I am looking for a more modern type front cover seal for the 401 as opposed to the old rope style, perhaps chicagorawhide makes one. the part number would be helpful. thanks.
Bill Stoneberg
I bought a Timing cover kit from Felpro and it was included in that. I got this at the local Auto parts store.
RivNut
Dear ???Here's a quote from an article on "Building a Better Buick" from Rod and Custom magazine."We upgraded the timing chain cover with a modern oil seal used in the later-model 400-455 Buick engines. This seal is a CR Services 19786. Federal Mogul also offers the seals listed as PN 474272."You can do the same to the rear seal by using one from a Buick V6. I don't have the part number for that one.Ed
