rocky5517
I assume the grounding strap, engine block to firewall, is a stock item at any good auto parts store, correct? Same for the one in the rear, underneath, correct?
JZRIV
Sure a generic strap will function just fine. Watch as the lengths may vary. Most will be probably longer than what was used originally and will probably be coated (silver) copper or other material. Originals were uncoated copper and they look pretty when cleaned, polished then clear coated. Not sure which other strap you are referring to (rear, underneath)? rocky5517
I would want a copper one for the engine compartment and don't care about the one under the trunk, or wherever the heck it is. I'll find that bugger sooner or later.
68RIVGS
There were actually two copper grounding straps running from each head to the firewall on 2nd generation 430 cars, but a single ground is better than none at all !
