Guest mzaetta
Hello everyone.I collect antique horse drawn carriages and accessories. I bought a pair of very cool and very lanterns, that were sold to me as carriage lamps. They ARE very small, and very cool, but I believe that they may have been interiors lamps on an early automobile. They are marked "Devoursney" (a well respected name in the carriage world). and are factory original. The brackets appear originalmeasure 6.5 inches longall the glass is beveled and measures about 2.5 inches squareDoes anyone have any thoughts or knowledge where these were used? I also wonder if these were special order for a miniature carriage, etc... Thanks alot for your help,Mike
keiser31
I don't think they would be for the interior of a vehicle. Maybe affixed to the sides of a wooden dashboard era vehicle as a cowl light.
Curti
Among other things, they were used on Austin Bantam Boulevard deliverys.
Layden B
They look like they may be candle powered. If so, they definately are horse drawn vehicle.
