Dave Henderson
Tough to do, restorable Cord engines and especially transmissions don't come easily. Best bet would be to join the ACD Club and advertize in the newsletter. There is also an AACA ACD forum.
auburnseeker
I think there is a waiting list for engine tranny combos. I have been kind of looking even posting ads for my 36 810 Phaeton for a couple of years and have found some pieces. What else are you missing? I've actually come to the conclusion that I will probably have to buy a 25,000 sedan and pull the drivetrain out of it. I have acquired a rebuilt correct starter, NOS master cylinder, Correct Carburetor, I have all the guts for a transmission, a few sets of axles, engine wire looms, a set of bohnalite heads, and a bunch of correct rebuilt steering / suspension parts. Still thinking I will need the whole parts car to get everything. That's the problem with putting one back. There is alot of stuff besides the engine and tranny that you will need. I may have some extras if you do get a power plant and tranny. Especially the small stuff like brackets, linkages, etc. Was your car converted or was it just used as parts for another car? mojoe59
Car was used for parts for another vehicle. Would sell the body/chassis as one if anyone is interested.
