countrytravler
Are the vin #s for the Graham Brothers truck posted in the Dodge Brothers truck books or were they listed in their own vin # books?. What year was the badge dropped?
stakeside
Are the vin #s for the Graham Brothers truck posted in the Dodge Brothers truck books or were they listed in their own vin # books?. What year was the badge dropped? The vin # or the frame number for the GB trucks is in the sequence for the DB trucks. I have doing research on the frame numbers and have noticed the frame #'s of the GB trucks to be in the sequence shown in manuals. Not aware of any other vin #'s for these trucks. Just different motor #'s.What badge do you mean? Assuming you mean the radiator badge. I believe the GB badge would be stopped in 1928 or about went the ownership changed to DB. These trucks would identical except for badges and hub covers.

stakeside
Dodge used DA engines, Graham used Victory six engines.Note the Victory 6 in the post by countrytraveler for the 28 DB in this web site. See http://forums.aaca.org/showthread.php?t=378390&p=1370748#post1370748. Note generator on the passenger side. This is a Victory 6 engine. The DA 6 had the generator on the drivers side. stakeside
Dodge used victory 6 engines, Graham used DA engines.I have a sales booklet for Dodge Bros trucks. It is dated Jan 1929. It does show the Victory 6 engine only. I have two DB series "E" trucks. Both have the DA 6 engine. So it appears earlier DB trucks had the Victory 6 engine. They had plenty of the Victory engines available until they phased the later DA 6 trucks.
