nzcarnerd
Can't see close enough to determine what the car is but it certainly isn't a 1928 Plymouth. The side mounts and wire wheels are the first clue. The big hubcaps on the wires suggest a date of 1930ish.

Steve Braverman
I don't think it's a Plymouth at all.
keiser31
Definitely not a Plymouth. May be a 1929 or 1930 Dodge.
countrytravler
Why would Chrysler museum display and advertise this?Lack of knowledge? Maybe they dressed this car to make it look more glamorous for the dignitaries showing? Just a thought! nzcarnerd
It needs a better picture of the picture - without the reflection. The car does not appear to have the ribbon radiator which is distinctive of the 1928/9 Plymouth and some other Chryslers.

Guest DodgeKCL
I agree it's most likely not a Plymouth. But although I'm not sure about 28s, 1929and '30 Plymouths could have wire wheels. I have a set of the snap on hubcaps. They are not unlike 1931s but have just the large 'P' on them and are made out of aluminum like the screw ons. Just about every '28,'29 or '30 Plymouth had screw on caps with the 'P' on them. Also Chrysler ,and the Plymouth clubs, seem to think a '28 coupe was the 1st Plymouth. Chrysler has it somewhere but nobody's sure if it IS the 1st one or not. Just to make things interesting.
