Guest Im4darush
Lots of different fan clutches available out there. From the research I have done it looks like Imperial part # 215049 or Hayden #2705 is the standard duty fan clutch for a 65 riv. They also have heavy ones available. My question is, are the heavy duty versions worth the extra money, or will the standard one work just as well? No reason to spend more if you're not going to get more. I do live in FL and my car has A/C.
RivNut
With your heat, you'd be better off with the HD one. No need to take any chances.

RivNut
Agreed....light duty clutches are for non A/C Minnesota cars.I think that non a/c cars don't even have a clutch, I know they don't have a shroud. "Light duty" can also be interpreted as "cheap and due to be replaced soon." If you live in FL you'd better make sure that you have a good shroud behind the radiator as well. Make sure the fins on your radiator are clean and straight and that the condenser is clean and the fins are straight so that air can flow through it AND the radiator.
