1941
I am now getting very close to installing the rebuilt engine in my '41 Cabriolet. The transmission is completely rebuilt with all new N.O.S. gears , seals, etc. This car does not have the Borg-Warner overdrive, which requires a differentrear mount. According to the parts list, it requires two bolts into the frame for this mount. No nut, washers, etc, are listed. Does the car frame have pre-set receivers for these bolts? I fear that someone in the past has drilled THROUGH the frame for thru bolts. ANY HELP ?

DSpringer
Here's what mine looks like. No through bolts, just two hefty bolts threaded into threaded receivers in the cross member. Not sure what the odd-shaped washers are for, or if I got them in right. Been too many years since I pulled it.
Waldren
washers are lock type to keep bolts from working loose. Originally had two ears that you had to bend in order to get a wrench on the bolt head then bend them against the bolt head after installation. Lee Waldren Fort Myers, Fl.
