Brad30
Just acquired a 1930 Model 46S. Florida title shows a number from the cowl tag. Number on the frame plate at the passenger side above front spring hanger is different. Which is recgonized as the corect VIN number for registering in New York? Thanks for your help. Pete Phillips
You'll have to ask New York State authorities which number is used. Most states used the motor # back in those days.Pete Phillips, BCA #7338Sherman, TX
42crazy
I have always heard that they used the number on the plate by the front right wheel. Some may disagree, but ?????? Paul
jscheib
Brad,I do not know for sure about NY, but CT and PA use the Number off the frame, and I believe NY is the same. However, a lot of the DMV inspectors do not know where to look. We have had trouble with them in CT before.John
