qql75m20
[color:"blue"] Can someone please clarify Saturday trailer parking for Hershey this year? When looking at the map on the AACA website there does not appear to be a designated area assigned for trailer parking. The person I spoke to at AACA told me that I would receive a trailer pass when I arrived at registration. That?s nice but how can I unload the car and drive it onto the show field if I have not parked the tow vehicle/trailer yet? Peter J.Heizmann
qql...(Welcome to the forum!)Trailer parking area is real easy. If you come in on Hershey Park Drive (from either direction) take Rt. 39 North at the traffic light. Signage abounds, plus, the Hershey Region has signs for "Trailer Parking". After you make the turn onto Rt. 39, you go about 2 blocks max, over the Swatara Creek, and, the trailer field is on your right. When you pull into the trailer lot, they will check your name off of the pre-registered trailer request sheet, give you a window sticker for the tow vehicle, and, that's it.Regards, Peter J. <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Peter J.Heizmann
Hi, Pat...hope all is well. You bet. It is the "Yellow Field's Cousin" on the North side of the Swatara. The weather, of course, is out of our control. The field is fine, providing "heavy" rain does not drench it for a few days. Appears, for now, it will be fine. Reminder: "This is the only field with security around the clock." Hotels/Motels offer no security. Regards, Peter. 66 Mystery Chevelle
Well, I guess that means it's a Grass parking area? Having never parked my trailer at the show, I have no experience and don't know. I usually park at my buddies house across the street.Mike
Peter J.Heizmann
Hi, Mike...yep, it's grass. Very close drive to the show field, though.Your call...I see the weather folks now say there is a chance of showers Saturday, but, it appears too early in the week for certainty.Regards, Peter. qql75m20
Well when it is all said and done I have to say I was very disappointed with the trailer parking this year. After being turned away at the two "Official Parking Locations" be cause they were full I found my one spot at a nearby shopping center. If they are not going to honor the trailer parking offered at the time of registration, it should not be offered at all.Or charge $20.00 a day. That way the folks that just need the parking for Saturday only have a chance.I enjoyed the show itself the weather was great.I think next year I will leave the car at home as to enable me to get closer to the flea market area ( I don't want to try to navigate the bridge)
